He longed for a world other than the world the divine Kamui live, and so was summoned to here where many humans live. On one side he shows an other-worldliness disinterested in this world's common knowledge, but to his master he speaks many words of devotion without pretense. - Horkeu Kamui (also Horkew Kamui) is based on the now extinct Hokkaido Wolf, which the Ainu people revered as a high-ranking god due to the animal's similar hunting habits.
- His name means "Howling God".
- One of the more famous stories involving a wolf deity in Ainu mythology, involves the wolf coupling with a goddess and the children of this coupling were the ancestors of the Ainu people.
- His curved Knife Sacred Artifact is possibly a reference to Kutune Shirka, a magic sword in Ainu folklore.
- His Charge Skill line, Onrupus Kamui means "god of hunting" in Ainu language.
- His Charge Skill is a pun on "brave and loyal heroism."
