Overview

Eden's system strives for a perfect world predicated off a standard of ritual purity to be upheld by unquestioning faith; all that fail to meet that standard are cast out beyond Eden's walls, usually to be destroyed, or be banished through the world's open Gate to Gehenna. According to Michael, in cases where the world's purity falls below a tolerable level, the system inevitably resets by initiating the Great Flood.
