| Transient affiliated with Setagaya Agricultural Academy's mountaineering club. His tempered body is constantly covered in soot and dust, so he calls himself the unclean guy. The darkness of it gets compared to charcoal that's been burned in dragon flames within a temple bell. Due to the influence of having the role of connecting people and mountains, he's quick to gain the good will of others and quicker to get dragged into personal problems. Kumano Gongen himself has a habit of using white lies and diversions as a stopgap measure, which often stokes the flames of conflict. As such, he often runs from the love, hate, and all the emotions in between from others by hiding himself in a mountain cabin. Kumano Gongen is a specialist in forestry and charcoal making, and he spends his days silently making charcoal as an excuse. He makes and uploads mountain stream and bonfire ASMR videos on the side, gaining him some fame that way. Since Kumano Gongen is self-conscious about saying too much, his reticence gets him some sympathy in the slow life times. He's a little worried about being asked to make PR videos for clubs for work. Shinjuku Academy's Wandervogel Club's rival president is his old acquaintance. Also, the power-type Transient in his own school who stays in mountains trusts and sympathizes with him at work.

| 世耕農業・林業学園の山岳部に所属する「転光生」。その鍛えた肉体を、常に煤と埃で真っ黒々にした、自称・汚れキャラ。その黒さは、「梵鐘の中で竜蛇の炎にこんがり焼かれた炭」の如くとたとえられる。人と山を竜脈で繋ぐ「役割」の影響で他者から好意を向けられやすく、対人トラブルに巻き込まれがち。彼自身もその場しのぎの誤魔化しや軽い嘘をついてしまう癖があり、争いの火種を生む事もしばしば。そんな彼はいつからか他者の愛憎様々な感情から逃げるように山小屋へ閉じこもってしまう。林業や製炭を専攻とする彼は、実習を口実にして黙々と炭を焼く日々を送る。その傍らで、渓流や焚き火のASMR動画を配信し、評判を得ているらしい。余計な一言が多いと自覚しているため、沈黙したその姿が、スローライフ時代に合うと共感を得ている。仕事として、部活の広報活動を求められる事に頭を悩ませているようだ。ライバル部である神宿学園のワンダーフォーゲル部長の昔馴染みである。また、同じ校内の山に引き籠るパワー系「転光生」の学友に対し、仕事での信頼と共感を寄せる。

| 腰に提げた梵鐘の「神器」。炭のように黒い、クマノゴンゲンの鱗を打ち付ける事で、激しい炎を周囲に延焼させる「権能」を持つ。その「信仰」の由来は、故郷で偶然巡り合った、とある竜蛇と起こした「余計な一言」の恋騒動。自分を慕ってくる蛇だかドラゴンだかとひと悶着した結果、クマノゴンゲンは吐かれた炎に全身を焼き焦がされた。「延焼の炎により、相手とひとつの存在としてみなされた」ことで、今の半人半竜の姿へと変貌した。こちらに転光してきた後も、彼はしばしば学内部内で、舌禍事件を招いているようだ。それは彼が、他者からの数々の期待や好意を受け止めきれず、避けようとする故でもある。過去の出来事から過去を想起させる相手に対し、失礼だとわかっていても怯えた態度を隠せない。また、自分と似た妄執を寄せられた、神宿のヤンキー「転光生」に対し、同郷の共感を超えた関係性を築く。
