Tezcatlipoca and Balor, chasing after the same target in Tokyo, find themselves in an uneasy alliance. After all, both are men born and raised in the smoke and bloodshed of battle, and both know the unchanging truth that the world only has room for one king. Even feelings they might have for their own flesh and blood, whoever they may be for, only have one outlet which is combat. Yet, it is precisely these similarities, these connections they share, that make them both oddly concerned about helping with the other's affairs. Take, for example, Tezcatlipoca seeking to help Balor contemplate his own Role with the assistance of a fellow Tir na Nog Transient. To lecture the towering hulk in his normal form would earn Tezcatlipoca the man's annoyance and a perturbed smack, but as an adorable little furball? That's a different story. Looking at his cute little ally, however, Balor cannot help but imagine that were he that fluffy and small, his grandson would surely love him."
