"Alp's Snapback is one of his Sacred Artifacts, allowing him to switch dreams with reality and vice versa. When he was born in the interval between reality and dreams, his ability to traverse both worlds was sealed within marks of moon and sun that can be externally controlled. The sun represents reality, and the moon the world of dreams, and each mark functions as the key to its respective realm. However, it turned out that the sealing of his powers meant that Alp would have to enter the dreams of others to feed, and thus survive, forcing him to use his Sacred Artifact on a daily basis.
