A leader among his people, they call Takemaru an ogre in his land, and Orgus is a knight they call an ogre in his. The two meet at the forge, where Orgus sighs in awe at how well restored his blade is—the techniques of the Crafters are indeed no joke. Wanting to thank him for going above and beyond, Orgus steps toward the soot-faced, smiling Takemaru with purely innocent intentions. It seems, however, that the care of horns is a far more delicate affair for ogres of different lands, which Orgus only realizes far after the fact."

「熱を失いかけた我が剣が、炎の如く輝いている！ さすがはあの鍛治師の弟子タケマル殿よ。だがこちらの手入れは、まだ未熟なようであるな……」
「ちょ、待ってくれオルグス殿……あ、ああっ！ 繊細なところだ。そう、赤子を扱うように……。クッ、なして頭のツノ磨きに……おしょすいなや」
故郷ではオニと呼ばれる種族の棟梁タケマル、オウガと呼ばれる種族の騎士オルグス。
クラフターズの技術により鍛え直された剣を見てオルグスは感嘆の声をあげる。
想像以上の働きを見せた者に何か礼をしようと、彼は煤と汗に塗れた顔で笑うタケマルに迫る。
そう、オルグスとしては単なる礼のつもりだったのだ。
しかしオウガとしての身だしなみは、相手にとってはそれ以上の繊細な行為であるらしい。
有角の種族でも角の扱いについて多少の相違がある――その事に彼らが気付いたのは、すべてを終えた後だった。
