Overview
Horkeu Kamui
A relatively modest but effective unit, Horkeu Kamui specializes in protecting and supporting a single other unit. Default and LB1 supplement his role in the front line, while the evolved LB2 can provide a good mix of damage, healing and CP boosting for both him and his ally, though his restrictive Blow range does not allow for much reach with the former. LB3 ensures that his ally will remain impervious to damage (unless enemies can pierce Evasion) as long as Horkeu moves every turn, while the healing can effectively heal the damage they do suffer. Lastly, his CS' effect is modest at standard low SA level, but the Magic range is useful for having a periodically good reach to do some damage.
Horkeu Kamui
Horkeu Kamui expands on his original playstyle, with superior Slash range and a potent skill evolution that allows him to protect his whole team. Default and the evolved LB2 allow him to specialize against enemies heavy on debuffs, with Reflect DebuffReflect debuff once for 4 turns. Vanishes after use. (Buff) able to turn those debuffs back on them. Keeping the his original Vanguard skill, he can still provide some good offense and CP boosting, where the new CS sadly does not bring much beyond the original, except some added damage thanks to Default. His evolved LB2 and LB3 are where he truly shines, even when not facing debuffers he can reliably provide protection and healing for himself and his allies.
Hot Paradise Horkeu Kamui
Horkeu Kamui (Hot Paradise) is a direct inverse of the originals - exchanging ice for fire, supportive defense for pure offense and self-sufficiency. To start off, he now has access to a potent Magic range for doing damage, with tremendous output thanks to ATK UpATK Up by 1.1x ~ 2.2x for 4 turns (Buff), Nourishment+150~300HP/turn, ATK Up by 1.1x ~ 1.5x for 3 turns (Buff) plus bonus damage against Burn-300~-600HP/turn for 5 turns (Debuff) and Nullify BuffPrevent receiving buff once for 4 turns. Vanishes after use. (Debuff). Good rate of Guts+1HP when HP is at 0 at the end of the turn for 5 turns. Removed once activated. (Buff) and TenacityDEF Up by 0.9x ~ 0.45x for 1 turn (Buff) endure his durability, while Default lets him idly ramp up CP and a bit of healing. This lets him reach his potent CS quicker, which returns to his roots of providing some team support in addition to even more damage and crippling entire groups with BindCannot activate skills, ATK Down by 0.9x ~ 0.45x for 4 turns. CS effects still apply. (Debuff), while his increased horizontal movement allows him to reposition the whole team easily. Overall, aside from some potentially unreliable activation rates, Hot Paradise Horkeu is one of the strongest damage dealers with excellent range and utility.

Cons
- Blow range is restrictive for making use of his VigorATK Up by 1.2x ~ 2.4x for 3 turns (Buff).
- Reliant on constantly moving to provide defense for himself and his ally.
- CS has a good effect but will not do very much at standard low SA level.
- Guts+1HP when HP is at 0 at the end of the turn for 5 turns. Removed once activated. (Buff) can sometimes prove redundant, if enemies cannot achieve lethal damage through his defense.
Horkeu Kamui
Class: Bruiser, Mixed Support
Gameplay Role: Frontline, Team support
Pros
+ Reflect DebuffReflect debuff once for 4 turns. Vanishes after use. (Buff) and Nullify DebuffPrevent receiving debuff once for 4 turns. Vanishes after use. (Buff) make him extremely potent when facing heavy debuff teams.
+ Can effectively defend his entire team, with even greater protection plus healing to up to two allies behind him.
+ Vigor and his CS combined with Default allow for good damage.
Cons
- His team support is restricted to directly adjacent, making it somewhat restrictive.
- Needs to hit at least two enemies to reliably use Nullify DebuffPrevent receiving debuff once for 4 turns. Vanishes after use. (Buff).
- Guts can once again prove redundant with his damage reduction.
Hot Paradise Horkeu Kamui
Class: Bruiser
Gameplay Role: Damage Dealer
Pros
+ Tremendous damage output at good range.
+ Self-sufficient defense to complement his damage, plus a bit of healing and idle CP charging.
+ Increased movement with Nullify Buff, Guts and Bind, plus Burn combined with Conflagration allows him to greatly supplement his team.
Cons
- Burn, aside from increasing his damage and combining with Conflagration, does relatively little on its own.
- Some of his activation rates can sometimes prove unreliable.
