Personality
Asterius is a large, burly bull who very often distances himself from others. He has a habit of stuttering and putting himself down such as calling himself a "monster." He possesses superhuman strength as well a temper that causes him to go erratic and destroy things involuntarily. This further convinces Asterius that he is a "monster" and is adamant about not letting anyone suffer by it. On an unnamed island, he opens his heart when the protagonist and Kijimuna became his first friends. He cares deeply for his friends especially Kijimuna and doesn't hesitate to help or protect them. After the events on the island, it is implied he developed feelings for the protagonist.
Notes
- Asterius' Charge Skill and nature as an abandoned man of royal blood living in isolation stem from the Greek Myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. In some versions of the story, the minotaur is never named, while others note his name as Asterius.
- His Aether attribute might be a reference to how his name means "the starry one" in Greek.
- His Ax Sacred Artifact is Labrys of the Labyrinth.
- His Charge Skill line, Labrus Labyrinthus also means "Labrys of the Labyrinth" in Greek.
