A Summon from the other world Wa no Kuni. There he guarded the borders of shrines as a komainu. In order to return home, he is looking hard for a new partner to replace Ungyou, his partner and adoptive grandfather. "Agyo is a throwback to the Oriental Lion, an ancient symbol of prosperity. The Water Orbs floating about him are his Sacred Artifacts, and by spinning them about to resemble an ancient Japanese crest, he is able to ward off evil from both places and people, a power he gained as a guardian dog. It appears, however, that the lion within him holds a different power entirely. He prefers purified spaces, and so gets the urge to clean dirty rooms whenever he sees them."

Translated from Japanese

An atavism of the old symbol of prosperity, the "oriental left hand guardian dog." The water balls floating around him are his Sacred Artifact, and by encircling around him in a tomoe pattern he purifies places and people of evil. This is a power komainu have to do their duties, but as a "left hand guardian dog" his power is something else. Because he likes cleansed places, when he sees dirty rooms he gets into the mood to start cleaning.

Notes

Komainu, sometimes called lion-dogs, are statues put in the entrance of Shinto temples with the objective of warding off evil spirits.
While bearing heavy resemblance to a certain yokai, Agyou does indeed have a love for cones.
His Charge skill, Misogiharae, is a Shinto term that combines the words misogi (禊) and harae (祓) which refers to the act of purifying the mind and body by removing sins and impurities that are considered taboo.
- Misogi is performed when a person who serves in a Shinto ritual comes into contact with impurities, and harae is performed on those who committed sins and impurities.
