Attending a nearby used book sale, Furufumi encounters Licho, a fellow poet with similar hobbies. The desire to converse on their shared love overrides his reticence and he approaches the Feline Therian. Furufumi had hid his poems away for the longest time, and he fears showing them to others, but in this moment, a part of himself that was unimaginable back when he locked himself away in the old school building shows itself. For his part, Licho remembers how he felt about the old poems he wrote in the style of the ancients, back before he became a tiger. He understands what Furufumi is going through and he knows it well; baring your soul to another, whether it be one or many, is true horror. Their relationship had begun with letters exchanged over a distance, and over time, they grew more comfortable sharing bits and pieces of their hearts and minds with each other. Perhaps the day will come when they can share in the despair and utter frustration of having others not understand poems they have poured their souls into. One can only hope."

古本市が開催されると聞き、訪れた祭の会場でフルフミは、「詩を書く」という同じ趣味を持つリチョウと出会う。
共に詩について語り合いたいという思いから、珍しく自分から声をかけたのだ。
ずっと秘めてきた詩を他者へと見せることに、フルフミは怖さを感じる。
そして旧校舎に閉じこもっていた時には知らなかった自分に気付くことだろう。
それと同時に、リチョウはいつか初めて古人に倣って詩をしたためた頃、虎になる前の気持ちを思い出す。
自分がかつて経験したことだからこそ、リチョウは誰かに詩を見せる時の心臓の鼓動を覚えている。
交換書簡から始まった２人の関係は、少しずつ互いの胸の内を吐露できる間柄へと。
そして「魂を込めた詩が他人に理解されないもどかしさ」も、分かち合える時が来るのかもしれない。
