"A Transient from the World of the Old Ones who once ruled the entirety of the physical universe. It's widely believed that he migrated to our world from a lonely star called Fomalhaut. His physical attributes are all extraordinarily high-spec, but his mental capacity is extremely low, with complex thoughts and especially numbers being well beyond his grasp. Tends to make grandiose statements, yet these only serve to belie his surprisingly low self-esteem, caused in part by his unfortunate habit of digging himself deeper and deeper with his words before physically exploding, dealing horrific damage to those around him and cycling back to heighten his depression all the more. To top it off, those who know him consider him a liability to summon, which has only furthered his reclusive tendencies. Somehow, he's gotten it in his head that his current summoning has made him something of a ringer—a Transient hero so legendarily powerful that he's practically a cheat code—and he's plotting to use this newfound recognition to help turn his life around. Unfortunately, since he can't comprehend teasing (not to mention the fact that he keeps burning his acolytes to a crisp!), the actual former rulers in Aoyama do their best to avoid him, giving him very little opportunity to make these life changes. As such, he's in no better a position to forge new bonds now than he was back in the World of the Old Ones. It's only upon those who make as little sense as he does that he tends to imprint, believing them to be of like mind to his own."

It depresses him when his words come back to haunt him and cause him to physically blow up and damage his surroundings. Those who know this about him see him as someone who's dangerous when summoned, so that's why he's alone. His summoning this time has him misunderstanding and becoming an overpowered reincarnated hero from some story somewhere, and now it looks like he's attempting to turn things around in one big home run. Since he doesn't understand bantering and has burned countless followers, it appears the ex-ruler and winner at life in Aoyama is avoiding him. This relationship has not changed since their time at Old Ones, and there is no sign of making a new connection here. Cthugha has one-sided feelings of sympathy for people who appear to talk in circles but not get anywhere.

"Cthugha's Sacred Artifact is his Star Sword, forged in a fire ogre's flame and supposedly containing pure heat sealed directly within its blade. The Rule it bears allows it to consume any existence and subdue them under the fire's command. Any ordinary person would burn to ash upon wielding such a weapon, but as Cthugha himself is an incarnation of flame, it's a simple, convenient tool for him. Indeed, Cthugha is fire itself, and can thus burn away completely or self-destruct only to revive at will with virtually no effort. He often daydreams of how he might save the day should his school ever become occupied by terrorists, though everyone around him already knows the answer: he'd blow the whole building to smithereens! Cthugha is a casual enjoyer of gaming culture, and he loves more than anything to flaunt his extremely limited knowledge of various video games and light novels. - Cthugha's CS kanji expression comes from a phrase that means becoming dependent on someone you get along with. Alternatively the phrase refers to friends dying as time passes by.
- Cthugha is a Great Old One in Lovecraftian mythos described to be a planet-sized mass made of fire or plasma written by August Derleth.
- His charge skill "Formalhaut Flare" mentions Formalhaut, the brightest star in the constellation Piscis Austrinus, or Southern Fish, which is noted to be the home of Cthugha in Lovecraftian mythos.[1]
- His title of "Loneliness 25 Light Years Away" is a reference to the distance of Formalhaut from the Sun, which is approximately 25 lightyears apart.
- His jealousy towards Pollux is brought about by the fact that the star Fomalhaut is the third brightest star with a planetary system as seen from Earth, right behind the Sun and the star Pollux (Beta Geminorum).
- Cthugha references two other Old Ones in his research file; the lazy ex-ruler being Tsathoggua and the ex-ruler in Aoyama being Nyarlathotep.
