But before he was summoned to Tokyo, he was known in his home world as an anti-terrorist former hero. Such a terrorist could be, for example, a vampire who spreads bloodborne infections to corrode minds and destroy society starting from its roots. Kresnik is a vampire hunter specialist as someone who is eternally close to vampires. He himself describes the job as that of a hitman in self-deprecation and does not talk about it much, however. He has thrown away his past of hunting those like himself and is now enjoying the act of teaching and raising the young who are like himself. But there is still the possibility that terrorists may take over his school one day. Should that happen, Kresnik will take his teacher's cane and turn it into a gun and knife and show how he used to be in order to protect his beloved students. Since it is originally something tied closely to Kresnik's life, he is deeply knowledgeable about its action and mentality. Because of that, Kresnik has won fame in the past as the former hero of an anti-terrorist unit that fought against those who'd threaten society. But in Kresnik's view, these memories are also accompanied with his regrets that he lived for the good of society and not for a certain someone who was close to him. That has led Kresnik to hold great respect for those who struggle hard to save those near to themselves regardless of age. The unending troubles between his freewheeling students and the Kiou Police Academy students who uphold order is a source of worry for him. {{#vardefine:transient jp en research file|Kresnik is a legendary vampire-hunting vampire in his home world of Kitezh. Since coming to Tokyo he's fought on the side of government authority against spies and terrorists who would destroy society. Now though, he works at Kabukicho Academy where other vampires attend as a self-styled teacher with no hopes of getting ahead. Kresnik believes this to be fact rather than it being humble on his part. He's conscious of the positions between himself and others so much that he draws a line between himself and his students, and sometimes he grumbles about how he's inadvertently put up a wall. He repeatedly self-derides that nothing's actually changed since his vampire-hunting days. His students, unaware of his past, have given him a festival costume, which ironically are of the vampires he once fought against. With the classic vampire outfit on, Kresnik once again looks back on his past. One of his current job associates is said to be a professional social divider who once antagonized him. On one hand he dislikes him, but on the other he relies on him as a popular teacher.}} | |||

Notes
- Kresnik is based on the shamanistic vampire hunters called Krnsnik (or Kresnik). The kresnik appear as animals at night to hunt their evil counterpart, the kudlak, to fight evil agents and ensure good harvest, health, and happiness. The kresnik are often represented as a white animal and the kudlak as a black one. They may have had origins from the Slavic deity Kresnik; a god of the sun, sky, and fertility.
- In Kresnik's higher rarity art, you can see his right hand partially transformed into an animal's.
- Kresnik's archenemy, the kudlak, is reflected in-game by Kresnik and Volkh Vseslav's dislike for each other.
- His Sacred Artifact, weapons created of silver, is a reference to how in folklore silver was a metal thought to be very effective against evil creatures such as werewolves, vampires, and witches; it is where the concept of the silver bullet comes from. To a lesser degree, it could be related to cold iron in European mythology that is believed to repel, contain, or harm ghosts, fairies, witches, and other malevolent supernatural creatures.
