"A Transient originally born in the world of Eden, but cast down to Gehenna, Behemoth is known as the great beast of the earth. While he is fearsome at first glance, behind his terrifying exterior, he is actually extremely kind and thoughtful. Arriving in Tokyo introduced him to a wide variety of vibrant scents and flavors, and he has been entranced by them ever since. The inside of his mouth is actually his Sacred Artifact: a Maw, which converts anything that he eats to energy in order to help him fulfill his Role as a Sacrifice made to a Pairidaeza. As he is used to a solitary life, he has little concept of relying upon others or being relied upon. He is a little embarrassed about his lack of restraint when it comes to food, so he greatly admires others who can match his appetite but are capable of better controlling themselves."

Transient born in Eden and cast down to Gehenna. Great beast of the land. He is not as brutal as his looks suggest, basically a gentle person with good manners. He was originally an herbivore, but upon being summoned to Tokyo and happening upon a provocative aroma and flavor, he's become captivated by it. To fulfill his Role as a "Sacrifice" offered to the "places surrounded by walls," he possesses a oral cavity Sacred Artifact able to transform anything. Since he used to live by himself, he is unaware of when he is bothering others or being looked after by people. He thinks a bit about how he's indiscriminate with himself during meal times, and he admires those are gluttons like him but can show some control over that.

"With an enormous appetite even without the effect of his Sacred Artifact, Behemoth is the embodiment of gluttony. To devour everything under the sun before offering himself as a final Sacrifice is his Role and raison d'être. His all-consuming hunger supersedes even his loyalty to his comrades in exile, the great beasts of the sea and sky, and the effects of eating on his body matter little to him, as do the particulars of to whom or what he will be sacrificed. However, he consumes in such excess not to sate himself, but simply because it is all he knows. For those who remind him of his old partner, the great beast of the sea, he feels unconditional affection."

Even without his artifact he is unusually gluttonous, and his form is an avatar of overcomsumption unto itself. He lives only for the sake of eating everything on the land, and he possesses the role to offer up his body when the end arrives. He is devoted to his appetite, and while he is attached to the the great beast of the seas and the great bird of the skies to be offered with him, his hunger goes beyond that. For him it's less about eating until he's satisfied and more that eating itself is his lifestyle. Even if his body changes from eating too much, he considers it to be a trivial problem compared to his love of food. Also he considers the question of who he will be offered to an unimportant one as well. He has unconditional sympathy for anyone whose appearance reminds him of the great beast of the ocean.
