Official English "A Transient afflicted with oni curses from an Oni Mask Sacred Artifact that gathers the negativity of losers. Though an upstanding soul, his formidable looks invite fear. He never doubts what people tell him nor turns down requests. Due to this personality, he often harbors fugitives, and did so in his original world which caused the rulers there to designate him as a wanted crime boss guilty of plotting rebellion. He hates that particular ruler and subsequent retainers."

Translated from Japanese A Summon who possesses a Sacred Artifact oni mask, which gathers the resentments of all who were defeated and curses the wearer into being an oni. He has a sincere personality, but due to his terrible appearance he is feared by those around him. He decided to never doubt anything he is told and to never turn down anything requested of him. Because of that, even in his previous world he sheltered those who were run off, opposing the rulers of the time who named him a leader of the rebellions. He greatly hates the whole family of that ruler and their retainers.

Translated from Japanese A third year student from the Shinjuku High school baseball club. While lamenting daily about the expenses from the baseball club, rumors about finding wonderful treasures in a tournament up in the mountains took his attention. Knowing that other schools are also going to participate, his heart pounded with excitement, despite knowing personally those of the other teams he still aims for being the champion of the contest. Eating bento boxes out in the mountains surrounded by his peers warms his heart, reminiscing of the old days, brings a smile to his face unintentionally.

Official Japanese 神宿高校野球部三年。部費不足に嘆く日々を送る中、「異界化」した山で行われる大会で豪華景品を獲得できる噂を聞きつける。何かと気に掛かる他校の「りぃさるうぇぽん」も参加することを知り、心を躍らせながらも、部員達に託された願いを抱え、優勝目指し大会に挑む。気心が知れた仲間に囲まれて山中で食らう弁当は、ほのぼのと温かく、昔を思い出し、思わず笑みが零れる。その思い出の一つ、金剛なる鬼の思いは、今なおシュテンの中に息づいている。

Notes

• Shuten's Spring alt Charge Skill refers to Hanami, the practice of having a small party with friends, or family members under the blossoming cherry trees, or sakura, and in other cases, under Plum, or Ume trees.
• Shuten is based on the legendary Oni Shuten-Douji a fearsome Oni, said to live in Mt. Oe, where he and his company kidnapped women to have them as maids, but some of them killed them, ate their flesh and drank their blood.
• This legend ends with Shuten-Douji decapitated, by Minamoto no Yorimitsu, who got him drunk and bound by four deities. In a final attack, Shuten-Douji tried to bite his head off, but he survived having worn two additional helms besides his own.
• Shuten also shows in two different loading screens: in one, he's laughing at Kyuma's effort to swing his Kanabo (which he apparently uses as a baseball bat), Kyuma seems to think "If I swing this, I'll make it to the regulars" (これを振れれば、レギュラーに), as well as another one where Ibaraki presents him a little doll in the likeness of him while asking him "Looks good, right!!" (いいだろ！！). The little doll's foot says "My Aniki Forever".

Yes, he’s worth rolling for in my opinion. He’s not quite top tier but he performs solidly as an offensive support unit. I’ve been liking him these past few days at the very least ( and he’s one of the Naop boy’s, so I would’ve rolled for him regardless lol).
