In his home world, he was known for his skill in a sacred dance called Sanghyang, its moves passed down to him through his family of noted spiritual mediums. Translated from Japanese A Transient from the world of Shangri La who is studying to be a hotelier. He makes a living dancing in clubs and night shows as a dancer. Barong is a high school student who works hard every day as he aims to win the Tokyo Dance Koshien Tournament. He specializes in a magical dance known in his home world as Sanghyang. He was born to a family famous for being spirit mediums, and he is said to have inherited that dance. Barong is a party animal who is 100% bright and cheery with almost no dark side to him. He finds the greatest joy in giving things to people, and giving himself to people. The people around him often worry about his innocence and total lack of mistrust towards others. On another note, the guild he belongs to apparently has many members resolved to the idea that the next stage being their last is fine if it's also their greatest. They are the ones who aim to show the arts to God, the top of the System known as hierarchy. The Yurakucho Entertainers are also known as the attendants to the Heavenly Emperor. Barong has a sense of good will resembling affinity towards actors strongly aware of playing a stand-in for someone else.

Official English "As Barong dances in his mask and loincloth, he balances the yin and yang around him, keeping the yin—representative of curses and ill will—at bay. As he exercises this Rule, the fur covering his body takes on a golden hue, indicating that he's severed his connection with the physical world and entered a blissful trance state. In this ritualistic state, the dancer forfeits his ego for a time, that he may offer himself up to the divine being at the top of the hierarchy. This extinguishes his sense of self, thus passing his Role along to another, who then performs the same ritual and passes it to another, creating an endless cycle. Consequently, Barong genuinely desires, from the bottom of his heart, to be thoroughly consumed by this higher being. He'd consider it to be the ultimate joy and honor, and the greatest possible outcome for him as a show dancer. There is one, however, who despises such displays of romantic infatuation, and thus finds Barong's dedication to be downright deplorable. And there is one whose fundamental views on heaven and earth, yin and yang, are so diametrically opposed to Barong's that even this Transient who effortlessly gets along with everyone can't quite see eye to eye."

Translated from Japanese When dancing with a mask and sarong on, Barong lets nothing belonging to negative cosmic forces pass him. In other words, no curse or malice can approach as he completely locks them out of the border. When he displays this power, all the hair on his body turns golden in color. That is proof of the ecstasy and exultation of cutting of contact with the physical world, also known as a trance. It is a ceremony where he relinquishes his self and offers himself to God. When his self collapses, his role is passed on to someone else, and so this round dance continues for eternity. Due to that, Barong wishes from the bottom of his heart that he is consumed completely. This comes from his nature as a show dancer, and he thinks of it as the happiest way to live. However, this attitude seems to be completely unacceptable to a certain someone who detests love affairs. Also, he is someone who tends to want to make friends with anyone, but there are those he has irreconcilable differences of opinions with concerning the principles that divide all of creation.

Mecha Shark gives 3 deuffs (all 3 are annoying), so I guess...

Possession immumity, then debeef reflecc (debuff reflection) takes care of one other debuff, Purification takes care of the remaining rebuff?

It is worth a try. But then, Mecha Shark hits twice, each having a chance to land any (or all) of the 3 debuffs, and Debuff Reflection only reflects once.

Still, I suppose Bar dong gives me a better chance against those debuffs.

And then you have to move him at least 2 times to get him under half HP, maybe he can work with Leanae but both needs to be moved so that'd be a hassle, he also needs to avoid healing unit which might be a problem since he can only provide protection to the unit in front of him. I don't want to diss this guy too much, really, he's easily one of my favorite unit art-wise (sabertooth dudes really get me going like sheeeesh) but at least he nullifies enemies' Guts and cleanses debuff like a chad so i'll take him anyday (on the battlefield i mean)

Maybe there'd be unit that can work with this guy, tell me if there is, i want to make a usable team with him.

We have ourselves a Guts purging, support specialist. This sexy, multifarious dancer can cleanse, boost damage and CP while also having extended movement range. And let's not forget the Guts removal and the fact that he can basically get guaranteed skill procs when he's below half health. And then there's his CS. Crit and Crit+ in one CS makes for some disgusting burst damage potential. Oh and I forgot to mention the HE IS NOT LIMITED.
