"Working as a bodyguard in the elitist city of Roppongi, he may look scary but he is actually a cowardly crybaby. He severely regrets having abandoned his friends in the past and took up the occupation of body guard in order to train himself, mind and soul. He is contracted to the Tokyo Casino owner but his mistress has gone AWOL, leaving him to sulk while continuing his work at the Roppongi Guild. As a loyal guard dog, he detests anyone who is hostile toward his mistress but because he is such a coward, he would never confront such an offender."

A Transient who works as a bodyguard in the elite Roppongi district. Despite his tough appearance, he's a cowardly crybaby. Torn up on the inside over abandoning people he cared about in the past, Xolotl has taken up the roughest job he could think of as a drastic measure to become a stronger person and cast off his weak spirit. Originally, he worked for the owner of the Tokyo Casino, but his old master has gone missing and her whereabouts are unknown, so for the time being his service has been commandeered by the Roppongi Tycoons. He loathes his new master despite serving faithfully as a watchdog, but is too much of a wimp to complain openly.

"The accessory wrapped around his hand from froe-arm to wrist is his Sacred Artifact. The stars and shells strung together combine into a Rule that allows plant-life to grow rapidly. He uses this to intertwine branches and vines, creating a defensive bastion of greenery. The intertwined vines are symbolic of the winds and trees that connect heaven and earth. In other words, they are a symbol of love. Those who dare to attack this bastion will find themselves spitting in the wind. He respects and admires superior guard dogs."

His Sacred Artifact is the decorative bracelet wound around his arm. Made up of star fragments and shells, the power dwelling inside rapidly grows plants, even able to create a defensive barrier of branches and foliage in seconds. The interwined decorations and branches are symbolic of the fellowship between the wind and trees, heaven and earth; A charm of love's protection. Those who turn their blade to the plants he grows will be blown away by powerful headwinds. He feels a powerful longing and respect for an excellent guard dog.

Notes
- Xolotl is based on the deity of the same name in Aztec mythology. Xolotl is a god of fire, lightning, twins, monsters, and sickness; and was often described as a dog-headed man. He is also closely associated with death as Xolotl was a psychopomp, beings that would lead the souls of the dead to the underworld.
- In one variation of the Five Suns in the legend of Teotihuacan, the gods decided to sacrifice themselves for the newly created fifth sun. Xolotl withdrew from the sacrifice and cried to the point where his eyes fell from their sockets.
- And according to another story recounted in the Florentine Codex, the fifth sun did not move as it was created. So Ehecatl decided to slay the other gods as sacrifice to induce the new sun to move. Xolotl, not wanting to die, fled and hid but was eventually found and slain by Ehecatl.
- Xolotl's Sacred Artifact may be a reference to the spiral conch-like necklace called ehecailacacozcatl or "wind jewel", he and his brother Quetzalcoatl were depicted to have this necklace adorning them. The stars may be a reference to how Quetzalcoatl and Xolotl were associated with the planet Venus with Quetzalcoatl as the god of the morning star and Xolotl as the god of the evening star, as both are the planet Venus seen at different times of the day.
- His charge skill "Mayahuel Ehecatl" is in reference to two Aztec deities; Mayahuel, a goddess associated with the maguey plant and fertility, as well as the wife of Quetzalcoatl, and Ehecatl, a god of wind and is often considered as an aspect of Quetzalcoatl. This is also reflected in his title "Defender of Wind and Wood".
- Most of Xolotl's skills have direct ties to his story.
- "Gardener" is in reference to the Mayahuel portion of his sacred artifact where it could rapidly grow plants.
- "Sacrificial Defender" is a reference to how he was sacrificed in order to move the fifth sun and how he is a guard dog.
- "Shapeshifter" is a reference to how he hid from Ehecatl in the story recounted in the Florentine Codex, where Xolotl transformed into two stalks of maize plant (xolotl), a double maguey plant (mexolotl), and an amphibious animal (axolotl).
- After receiving a new pair of eyes from the Crafters, Xolotl, upon seeing the
Protagonist quickly exclaims that they are his exiled brother Quetzalcoatl.
- Though having the appearance of a doberman breed of dog due to its strong associations with guard dogs; Xolotl may also be based on the Xoloitzcuintle or Xolo or "Mexican hairless dog" originating from Mexico, as the dog was named after the god Xolotl and the word "itzcuīntli" meaning "dog" in Nahuatl, where the name originated.
