"A Transient who came from the world of Tir na Nog who is also an Alder tree spirit. He is a graduate student researcher at a medical school who tends to speak of himself as an old man, as well as the resident assistant of the dorm for Therian Transients in Taito Ward and lead scientist at the research lab. His Role and Rule allow him to transfer any injury or damage from one being to another, giving him control over who lives or perishes. However, he considers the price for using this power to be too high, and thus avoids doing anything proactively except in the direst of circumstances. Because of this, other researchers have labeled him a sloth, and those younger than him usually despise him for pushing vast amounts of work onto them on account of their age. Leib can often be seen complaining about how difficult it can be to keep up with all the new slang."

Alder tree spirit Transient that appeared from the world of Tir na Nog. He attends as a medical department graduate student researcher, though he stands out for speaking like he's someone older. Leib is the dorm supervisor of the beastman dedicated dorms at Taito Ward's Ueno Academy and the supervisor of the research labs. His Rule and Role can transplant the dangers bearing down on someone to elsewhere and let only whoever he chooses to survive. He hates the costs involved, so unless it's a crisis he doesn't see taking any active movements as a good thing. As a result he's despised as a useless troublemaker by the other labs, and his kouhai see him as a jerk senpai who will dump tons of work on them because they're young. Leib tends to grumble to himself about the latest slang being used as inappropriate.

As per their rules, every member who is considered a ""beast"" must have a ""tamer"" to control them, effectively forming a single unit in order to perform their duties and maintain good affinity. As someone capable of foisting even death onto others, Leib has been paired with a beast within the guild. Leib harbors affection born from gratitude toward his guild master, but he also feels bewilderment due to the strange hobbies they entertain."

It has the power to take the fact that anyone is injured and shunt it to a tree so that the injuries will disappear, like they never were. The Beast Tamers guild he belongs to is a group composed of almost entirely beastmen, with one exception. They act as two man cells with a Beast who is controlled and a Beast Tamer who controls them, so compatibility between the two is important. Leib is currently paired with a Beast based on the perspective that he can shift death to somewhere else. He carries both good will born from gratitude and total bewilderment over an incomprehensible hobby towards his co-guildmaster.

Notes

Leib is based on the deity in Sami mythology named Leib-Olmai (translated to "Alder Man" from Sami). A forest deity, god of good luck, and a hunter god; he is considered a guardian of wild animals and would protect hunters especially against bears, and ensure a successful hunt. He also appears to humans in the form of a bear.
His Sacred Artifact is the sap of an alder tree as the deity, Leib-Olmai, is known to have lived in alder trees, referenced in his skill "Spirit of the Sacred Tree"
- The name "Leib" can also mean "blood" and the red sap from alder bark, symbolic of blood, hunters would be splattered all over with it after returning with a dead bear. This is referenced in his charge skill "Blood of the Alder" and his skill "Prayer Painting Bear".
Part of the Beast Tamers and partnered with Cu Sith as the "beast" while Leib is the "tamer".
- The guild partnership system is based on transients that could nullify dangerous Rules or abilities with their own. Cu Sith's ability to cause death or heavy damage with his howls are negated by Leib's Rule of displacing damage and death onto trees nearby thereby preventing it from harming anyone.
For his release during the Ueno Fluffy Dream Kingdom event, Leib's previous voice actor, Josuke Shinomiya, was replaced by Tomokazu Seki. Upon the change, his original voice lines were replaced with Seki's takes.
