"Amanojaku is a Transient classified by the App as a type of ogre. Though generally meek and diligent, the Rule in his Mask will often activate out of turn, flipping the vectors of his heart. This ability can stretch out to affect others, causing a dramatic warping of perceptions. Amanojaku had the misfortune of causing trouble right after being summoned to Tokyo, ending with him being arrested by the police and released under supervision. All of this has left the first-year high school student with difficulties speaking to those who live on the straight and narrow... yet he's comfortable around sloppy individuals who struggle with life and whose actions teach him what not to do. Susanoo seems to be a perfect example of that, having felt no hesitation in raising hell in his family's territory. Amanojaku currently shares a residence with his parole officer, a sage dragon who teaches at Umamichi Academy. Because his Rule does not work on the teacher, he is able to truly be at peace around him. His nature draws from the relationship of heaven and earth between the two worlds of Takamagahara and the Land of Wa. As an aside, he seems to truly despise soba."

「アプリ」上では、鬼の一種と判定されている「転光生」。普段はとても真面目で気弱だが、被った面に宿る「権能」が度々暴走して内心のベクトルが「ひっくり返る」。その影響範囲は他者にも及び、天地無用の認識錯誤を引き起こす。東京に転光した直後も、問題行動を起こしてしまい公安に拘束され、保護観察処分となった。そんなこんなで、まっとうに生きてる相手とは距離を取りがちな高校１年生。逆に、相手がダメな姿をさらす反面教師である程、安心できるようである。家族の領地で堂々と粗相をしまくったスサノオという人物は、その意味で百点満点なのだそうだ。現在は保護司でもあり、得真道学園の教師でもある仙龍のもとに居候している。何故か「権能」が通じないその相手の側では、心置きなく気を休ませることができるという。彼のこの性質は、２つの異世界タカマガハラとワノクニの間の「天地」の関係に起因する。蕎麦がどうしても苦手らしい。

"Amanojaku claims that too often he finds himself wearing his Sacred Artifact Mask, which is made from the bones of his mighty ancestor. The Mask is able to exude Ferocity, the aura of Amanojaku's Rule that reverses the thoughts, emotions, and directional perceptions of its targets. Because this Rule works on Amanojaku in ways he cannot control, he has long been avoided by those around him on account of his unpredictability. This power is the reason his personality will change so violently from time to time. The sage dragon that acts as his parole officer suspects that someone gave him the Mask on purpose, though for what purpose that may be, he cannot say. Amanojaku tends to share complex feelings of empathy with those who flip and reverse as he does. His internal conflict makes him a valuable sample in the Tokyo system, showing what happens when one shares a body with one's Shadow."

Notes

He is based on a kind of oni of the same name in Japanese folklore. Its name means "heavenly evil spirit."
His Charge Skill, Tsumujimagari Oni can be translated from Japanese as "twisted demon." In modern times, the word amanojaku can also be used to refer to a person who acts in a twisted manner.
His kimono features a pattern similar to a sugoroku board, a Japanese board game.
- This game is featured in several legends related to Sugoroku village, some of which includes an amanojaku playing it and deceiving his opponent.
In the A Journey with Dragons and Demons event, a girl named Urikohime shows in his flashback. Urikohime is a Japanese folktale character who is born from a melon and is replaced by an amanojaku.
