Official English "Qinglong is a sage dragon Transient of high standing who watches over the east in the world of Penglai. Respected as the guardian of the spring that follows harsh winter, in accordance with his world's principles of Feng Shui, he acts as a guardian in Toky, as well, though at a smaller scale, teaching at Asakusa's Umamichi Academy while also acting as a youth parole officer. His warm demeanor, flexible thinking, and advice drawing from years of experience have won him much favor with the student body and faculty, and his mastery of kung fu has won him admiration in kind. At home, however, Qinglong is the very picture of a lazy old man. His habits are slothful, his appearance is slovenly, and he is afflicted with a concerning dependence on delivery services and other conveniences of modern life. The rebellious ogre Transient he is supposed to be rehabilitating was so baffled by the state of his home affairs that he volunteered to do the housework himself. According to this Transient, the only true constant shared between Qinglong's life in home and at work is his dire love of peaches. Furthermore, when it comes to interacting with Asakusa's child-rearing guild master, Qinglong is in the exact opposite position of his party-animal coworker."

Translated from Japanese A high ranking hermit dragon Transient from Hourai who protected the east. In the feng shui school of thought from his world, he is respected as the protector of the young that comes after winter. Here in Tokyo, Qinglong works as a youth probation officer on Umamichi Academy's teachers' side. He has gentle and flexible thoughts, and he's recognized as the best kung fu master within the school. Qinglong gives advice taken from his experience as a dragon, and the teachers and students deeply trust him. At the same time, he's an old dragon whose home life is a giant mess hugely at odds from his work ethic. He shows no concerns for his lifestyle and personal grooming, so when he's not on the clock he relies heavily on modern conveniences and delivery services to the point that his charge, Amanojaku, has offered to handle his housework. According to this roommate, peaches remain his only obsession at every hour of the day. His opinions are the complete opposite of his partygoing teacher colleague regarding the student parent Asakusa guildmaster.

Countless years of training in kung fu have blessed him with a powerful internal alchemy, giving him enough qi to strongly influence the hearts and minds of others. As a teacher, he never skimps on support for those who wish to change themselves and face the future, and his power reflects that—it draws from the faith of Penglai, which holds that even should the heavens shatter and the dynasty fall, a new world will be born. In the traditions of Penglai, this rebirth is also a valid way. Qinglong has seen a world fall into strife countless times, no matter how often reborn, which led him to pass on his title and position of Azure Dragon to another and descend into the human world to seek a new future. This drew the ire of another in his world, who said that his actions went against the principles of wu wei. Qinglong had an answer: to choose not to follow is in itself a way, and his respect for his land's principles is unyielding. This has allowed him and the party-animal teacher sage he works with at Umamichi to hold a mutual admiration for one another, though their choice of ways may differ—with the exception of one particular point. When it comes to combat and special abilities, Qinglong is a sage dragon, an infinite being, allowing him to maintain his presence regardless of the effects of others' Rules. This also grants him the rare ability to remain unchanging, even when conceptually flipped or overturned."

Translated from Japanese Qinglong's dragon horn Sacred Artifact has the power to comprehend the hermit power routes of other people. The internal alchemical chi he's sharpened over all his kung fu training is strong enough to change the appearance of other people's minds and bodies. When people want to change themselves and have an eye towards the future, Qinglong spares nothing with his support. Hourai's faith is based on how the country was ruined when the sky split opened and a new world was born. Qinglong has seen the birth, rise, and collapse of the world many times over, and it is said he's descended to the world of humanity to see the future of that ending after passing his name and position of the Azure Dragon to a successor. Others from his home world have told him that action is at odds with the teachings of taking things as they come. According to Qinglong however, the choice of disobedience is also a path unto itself and the respect for the ruler of the path is eternal. That's how he can take a different path from the partygoing teacher coworker at his school and still respect one another...except for one exception. As the hermit dragon that should be Infinite, he has the rare property of not being affected by other peoples' powers, or of staying the same even when reversed.
