Official English "A demon noble Transient from the world of Gehenna who is never seen without a gentle smile on his face. Attends law school in Tokyo, and is already actively putting his skills to work as a student prosecutor. He believes that nobles have a responsibility to give back in this manner, and he even has his own unique takes on what he feels it means to be a demon. Not all of these takes are subversive, however, so he has been known to make evil-sounding statements solely to meet expectations. The true nature of these statements and the motivation behind them is only understood by those select few who've known him all his life and share a similar social status to his own. And it is quite the status: at one point, he was ranked number one in the demonic hierarchy as defined by the hexagram order—though this is not the same as Gehenna's overall hierarchy, in which he is and always has been outranked by other demonic nobles. He takes great pride in his unsurpassed hatred toward the faith of Eden, though he is aware that he ironically owes much of his own greatness and might to that very faith, making his hatred feel cynical and even a bit hypocritical at times."

Translated from Japanese Demon noble Transient from Gehenna who has an ever present and unshakable calm smile. He is part of a law school in Tokyo, and he is already working in the judiciary branch as a student prosecutor. Bael believes those of noble class hold duties fit for that level and has a unique belief in being a demon. Perhaps because of this he's often seen making vile utterings even when unnecessary for whatever is going on. Those who realize this is limited to a certain person of equal lineage who has associated with him since infancy and scant few others. He once held held the highest rank on the hierarchy of demons listed under the Hexagram Contract. This does not apply to all demons from Gehenna as demon nobles of even higher rank than he exist. Bael brags about being the one who hates the faith of Eden the most, but paradoxically the fact that it also supports his mightiness can only be described as irony.

Official English "Possesses eight black Wings on his back that serve as his Sacred Artifacts and supposedly hold the power to fulfill any and all desires. They wriggle and writhe like spiders' legs, and Bael often wryly jokes that when combined with his four other limbs, the twelve of them in total are like the twelve wings of the Lightbringer. Although he has not made the Rule borne by these Wings known in any great detail, it's theorized that they feed upon deep-seated wishes from those in his vicinity, then make those wishes a reality. Through this power, Bael has supposedly taken on a portion of the faith from another world's king, who once shared his existence—a great ruler who serves as the bringer of blessed rain and floods alike, but has been nearly forgotten within Tokyo's 23 wards. This faith is Bael's true strength, and he intends to use the advantages it grants him to help turn the tides of the battle in Tokyo. Strangely, he's also a very fastidious person, and is thus drawn to others of a similarly fastidious nature, yet he also doesn't particularly like to clean, which often causes him to butt heads with the company he keeps."

Translated from Japanese A Sacred Artifact of dark wings sprout from his back, which are said to be able to grant any and all desires. Bael exaggerates and seems to self-deride that when those eight wings that wriggle like spider legs are combined with his arms and legs, they equal the 12 wings of the Lightbringer. Bael does not reveal its power without reason, but it is rumored that they have the ability to devour the memory of one's desires and manifest them. Through this power, he seems to have taken in a fraction of the faith of a king of another world, someone he once was in the past. It is the strength of a mighty king known as the ruler of rain and floods, but hardly anyone living in the 23 wards of Tokyo now has any memory of this. This very fact is Bael's forte, and he aims to use it to his advantage to turn the tables around in the battles that occur in Tokyo. He's self-conscious about being a neat freak so he gets on well with people who like being clean, but he doesn't like the act of cleaning itself, which can lead to friction.

Hate to pull the "you bad isn't important because me worse" but I've been waiting for Tanngrisnir for just as long and he hasn't gotten anything yet. I'm fairly certain he's going to get a variant this next event but he's probably gonna lose a 5-star spot to someone I hate myself. But just the joy in seeing a Tanngrisnir variant will be enough. I personally prefer 4-star characters because their kits usually are very gimmicky compared to 5-stars, and I think gimmicks make the game fun and make team building creative. Perun's kit is just a thief skill that we already see in Hotei and Goemon, ontop of damage and Paralysis. Bael, however, provides us with a kit that although lacking in rate provides tons of new utility to debuff teams, including Crit, Limit, health drain, and Buff Removal, ontop of consistent applications of Vanity. Just because your character is a 4 star doesn't mean they're bad, look at POz and Leanan destroying the game.

Even entertaining the notion that the story doesn't matter and all that does is gameplay, none of these units are all that great either and they're all incredibly niche, having no presence in the general content due to many faults in their kits (4 and 5 alike), the complaint was completely unjustified for this case and are a result of pure entitlement.

His approach was way too intrusive and aggressive, he is an asshole no doubt, but i kind of get the sentiment. Doesnt help that original bael still has no skill evolution, so in his eyes both are rotting in the pit, adding salt to the wound.

He stopped answering here and in perun's page, so i think he finally cooled off, hope this mess doesn't happen again

>>19260 excuse me, but i do play the game, that is why i am mad. what good will certificates do to him? his problem is his supportive capabilities not his damage, he is leannan sidhe at global range, that in exchange of having shitty rates, and on top of that only for the first 6 turns of the quest, what am i supposed to do with him? hope i get his generic buffs once per quest? he has 1/3 and 1/2 of a chance to give only one of his buffs at a given time, i can at most count on him 2 out of the 6 turns he is useful, at that point why bother to bring him to the quest, his buff is too short for dungeons, for farming he is too complicated and redundant to use, he will realistically only be used in story quests farming, but with how sparce his utility is it's better to bring someone more consistent, specially with how hard modern quests are becoming.

i could max him out to make his a pseudo dps (in fact that is exactly what i am doing) but that does not change the fact that he is the definition of mid, and when they make the 5 star version of his weird "buff and cleanse after debuffed" archetype he will be even worse
