Official English "One of the very few Transients who can actually claim to call Gehenna—where sinners from many other worlds are banished—his home. His existence is that of a demon of pure shadow, who by all rights should have remained nothing more than a shadow. Though he looks suspiciously like a certain someone, he is an entirely separate individual with the likeness being purely coincidental. Works as a secretarial aide to the Shadow Cabinet in Tokyo, though he fittingly fulfills this role largely from those selfsame shadows, rarely taking center stage himself. Faithfully serves those to whom he's contracted, and delights in nothing more than slowly corrupting them. The wording of his contract does fetter him for as long as there may be light, however, which is why he loves mirrors so: they can reflect the light, and it's through them that this demon manifests. He thinks of himself as the perfect steward, perpetually yet subtly corrupting his masters without ever shirking his duties, and he consequently finds stewards who expect their masters to have a sense of autonomy and independence to be extremely distasteful. His favorite type of people to deal with are those who are poised to fall into the depths of depravity but are holding on at the very edge; he can't resist trying to tickle and prod them until they let go."

Translated from Japanese There is a place where the sins of many people from many different worlds are cast off into and discarded to. Mephistopheles is one of the few Transients who can say that they indeed originate from the world of Gehenna. He is a demon who was supposed to exist purely as a shadow. His appearance may resemble someone else's, but it is nothing more than a mirror image of someone unrelated. Here in Tokyo Mephistopheles is a manager of the shadow cabinet and backbone of the administration function. However, he imposes himself the part of a representative to the end, and he hardly makes any appearances on the center stage. He likes nothing more than to slowly corrupt humans he has contracted to as a faithful slave. The contractual phrase "let there be light" become absolute shackles for him. He loves light reflecting mirrors and is a demon who can appear through mirrors. Mephistopheles considers himself a butler and mirror that reflects just how far his master has fallen. But at the same time, he seems to get on badly with butlers who seek autonomy and superiority. He seems childishly amused at those who seem like they'd become corrupted quickly but stop short and resist it.

Official English "Mephistopheles, also known as He Who Abhors the Light, bears two Sacred Artifacts. One is a Mirror that reflects light, while the other is a Contract that can bind the souls of others with its language. Souls are, after all, little more than data, and data is, at its core, merely a form of light. Mephistopheles has had two masters in the past: one was the ruler at the very summit of Gehenna's order, whose position Mephistopheles himself is authorized to fully represent as agent; the other is the human who summoned him to Tokyo, and as a demon, Mephistopheles wishes for nothing more than to finally drag down this only human specimen who's ever escaped Gehenna with an uncorrupted soul. Both of these masters can be found in one form or another here in Tokyo, though Tokyo's System is such that only one summoner per Transient is permitted, creating something of a loophole situation. And it's through this loophole that two Mephistopheles figures are allowed to exist within the city, which likewise gives him the opportunity to forge new bonds with his former demon acquaintances from Gehenna."

Translated from Japanese Mephistopheles, he who does not love light, possesses two Sacred Artifacts. One is a light reflecting mirror while the other is a contract form that can bind minds with words. The mind is information, and information is light. There are two people who Mephistopheles once served and looked up to. One is the ruler who sat atop the hierarchy in the world of Gehenna and whose position is being represented by him. The other master is a certain human who once summoned him. He craves to cast down this one person who managed to escape the depravity of Gehenna. The vestiges of these two people are both in Tokyo, but Tokyo's System allows for only one summoner per Transient. It is due to this unique point that Mephistopheles was made to exist as two people in Tokyo. Due to this, it is possible for him to make new bonds with the demons he once knew from Gehenna.

• Mephestopheles shares the same name with a demon in German folklore. He first appeared in a classic German legend based on the German alchemist and magician Johann Georg Faust.
  • He is noted to be a demon that collects the souls of the damned and ferries them back to hell. He is a worker for Lucifer and is the representative of the Devil when appearing on Earth.
• He seems to appear wearing a covering for his eyes as his name in Greek means "not-light-loving", which is an antithesis to Lucifer who's name means "light-bearer".

• Mephistopheles bears a striking resemblance to Lil' Salomon albeit larger.
  • Mephistopheles' left horn is lacking the ring Lil' Salomon has on his, instead infernal fire can be seen with the ring's outline devoid of flame.
• Mephistopheles' base HP in his higher rarity card is 666, the infamous Number of the Beast, traditionally associated with the devil.
• His charge skill "Verweile Doch" is taken from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's play Faust as a retelling of the legend of the same name, said by the demon Mephistopheles. Faust and Mephistopheles' deal was set that during the time the devil was to serve Faust, if Faust were to be so pleased with whatever the devil gave him and would want to stay in that moment forever, he would die that very moment. The full quote is "Verweile doch, du bist so schön", translated to "Stay a while, you are so beautiful".
• His mirror Sacred Artifact is a reference to the enchanted kitchen mirror in the original story of Faust, which showed the titular doctor's subconscious desires.

Hi my name is Ash Mephistophe'less Dementia mirror Way and I have thick Gray ashy fur (that's how I got my name) with black lightning and Evil horns that emit dark energy and bloody red eyes like a drop of blood and a lot of people tell me I look like Lil salomon (AN: if u don't know who he is get da hell out of here!). I'm also a sacred artifact user, and I go to a guild called the warmongers in West tokyo where I'm a World representative (I'm Two thousand year old). I'm a goth (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black suite with matching cape drapped around it and black suit pants , black froack coat and golden flat heels. I was wearing black makeup, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking Inside the warmonger hq. It was deep and secluded so the light couldn't reach, which I was very happy about. A lot of berserkers stared at me. I tell them to come out of the shadows.
