Gorozaemon is a great boss of youkai and ayakashi who has built up great influence and manages slain youkai spirits back in Wa no Kuni. Nowadays, that power and role has been handed off to someone else, and Gorozaemon says they are retired. They themselves say their popularity has faded and that they are only a shade of their former power. However, their mysterious fear is still in good health. In practice, Gorozaemon still retains their original charisma even after getting summoned to Tokyo. They take countless spirits with them to bewitch the world as the head of a Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. Gorozaemon was made to lead those cast far away from the System of Wa no Kuni to surprise everyone. At one point, they came across a certain ghost and commander and dueled in a match to befuddle the youth. On their 86th encounter though, Gorozaemon admired the young samurai's courage and admitted defeat. They've promised to lend their power if it ever came to it, but it never came to be and turned into a regret. Gorozaemon has been tossed into being the most powerful leader of the gangster school's student council, possibly because of something similar happening in their past. However they are frequently absent, which turns them into a headache for someone else that is a part of that student council. Gorozaemon admires people who have the courage to change themselves and step away from the beaten path. Their natural delinquent spirit has them deal badly with people who nag and badger them into being a role model. They say in the past that Gorozaemon would ride wheel type youkai like wanyuudo and katawaguruma and rip through the streets in their home world all night long. They sympathize with people who like riding motorcycles and playing at night.

Despite being a great, influential youkai boss of Wa no Kuni, barely any oral record remains of Gorozaemon's appearance. It is for this reason that their origins is unknown. The more unknown something is the more it is feared, which means a total mystery would be the perfect person to head the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. Gorozaemon has appeared as the charismatic leader for the youkai rejected by the World's System. Various factors about them are unclear and questionable as to whether they even exist, yet they are clearly a demon king or overlord. That is Gorozaemon's nature that is definitely shown by the mask Sacred Artifact they hold. By hiding their name and face that would hold connections to others, it can distort even the remaining fragments of faith as a demon king. As a result, Gorozaemon does not belong to any of the attributes organized by the world. The app has designated this attribute that denies all others as Zero. According to Gorozaemon themselves, they just appeared one day as an empty being because they were sought out as such, and they are neither man nor woman. What sort of path, what sort of connections, and what sort of changes await someone who has nothing? That's for this youkai boss to ask of the people on the streets they'll go to in the future. And then, they continue asking, in their preferred way, the people crowded out by the System whether they have the courage and resolve to take the path accepted by no one. Gorozaemon has deep respect from Wa no Kuni's veteran youkai along with a sense of guilt since they think they've forced the state of nothingness upon them. Gorozaemon probably doesn't think much of it and is just enjoying themselves however.

Transient Summons
The regular ☆3 and ☆4 versions of Gorozaemon are only avaiable via their event's Item Exchange/Andvari Shop. They cannot be obtained via permanent summons.
Notes
- They are based on Sanmoto Gorozaemon (sometimes also referred as Yamamoto Gorozaemon), a demon lord who appears in the Edo period story collection Ino Mononoke Roku (稲生物怪録, can be translated as "Ino's Monster Record").
- In the story, a young samurai named Ino Heitaro is haunted by various youkai sent by the demon for 30 days, due to a bet Gorozaemon made with another demon about scaring 100 courageous boys. In the end, Gorozaemon reveals himself and admires the young man's courage, offering to help him in the future.
- Their research files state that they are "neither man nor woman". This is possibly a reference to the ending of Ino Mononoke Roku, where Gorozaemon states that he is neither a tengu nor a fox or a tanuki.
- Their Charge Skill, Nubatama no Yo Chimimouryou is derived from nubatama, a Japanese pillow word for nouns such as "night", "black", or "dream", and chimimouryou (literally "demons and monsters"), a general term for various supernatural phenomena.
