そして、己が心身をもって河の怒りを封じ込める「役割」のジュウゴは同じ学園の先輩と後輩。
一切の雑念を捨ててその身に大きな流れを感じるべく、この夏も山籠もりに励む２人。
求道者たちは、水流に加えて互いの動きも読む修行のため、２人で１つのボートを操ることに。
転覆する度に喝と抗議の声が響くその様は、呉越同舟に思えるかもしれない。
けれどもシヴァは後輩の努力と向上心へ瞠目し、ジュウゴもまた先輩の強靭な肉体と克己心に焦がれる。
共に不動の心魂を求める２人の間には、師弟のそれに近いものが芽生え始めていたのであった。
