This is a common sight in the Therian Dorm at Taito Ward's Ueno Academy. Leib annihilates his sleep schedule on the job and desperately attempts to catch any z's he can, while Cu Sith smacks him awake to save him from being tardy. Cu Sith knows, however, that this endless hell of all-nighters is for the sake of research which they are so deeply passionate about. This understanding sometimes manifests into pleasant recourse, like when Cu Sith allows his sleepy senior the respite of closing his eyes again. Sometimes he even acts as a guard dog protecting his slumber, though with dubious efficacy. Leib and Cu Sith, both members of the Ueno Beast Tamers, are not a two-man team solely because their Rules are compatible. Together they have shouldered the pain of those they lost, and they have supported each other ever since. The fortune-granting Sacred Artifact Scarf Cu Sith wears was left to him by the fairy Gruagach. Though they wonder whether those left behind were recipients of their misfortune or benefactors to the good fortune of those left behind, the two indulge in memories of times past while healing their wounded hearts."

そしてその安眠をちょっと頼りない番犬として、頑張って守ったりもするのだ。
上野ギルド「ビーストテイマーズ」においてのレイヴとカーシーは、ただ「権能」の相性だけでツーマンセルを組んでいるのではない。
誰かに先立たれた悲しみを、２人は分かち合い、寄り添いながら生きている。
このカーシーの持つもうひとつの「神器」は妖精グルアガッホの遺した、幸福を授ける襟巻。
誰かを見送って生き残ったことは「相手に不幸を押し付けた」からか、それとも「相手から幸福をもらった」からか。
過去に傷ついた２人の心が今、このひと時の思い出の中で癒されてゆく。
