「ホウ……イカした、いやさイカれた事を抜かしやがるじゃねえか、琵琶の嬢ちゃん？」 ラーンを統べる大海の巨人王、エーギルを前に啖呵を切るベンテン。 少女は大波のように立ちふさがる巨大な相手に、稲妻の如き大音量で言葉を謳い、真正面から立ち向かう。 共に２人は、流れを操る「権能」の持ち主。 ただし、その源流たる出身の違いから、もたらされる結果は大きく異なる。 その理由を一言で表すと音楽観の違い、ではなく世界観の違いによるもの。 流転する別れを是とするデーヴァローカと、収束する別れを強いられたユグドラシルの差である。 輝けるものをいくら集めようとも、それが永遠とはならないことに怒りを抱いていたエーギル。 永遠は無いと初めから受け入れていたが故に、移り気な性格であったベンテン。 ２つの渦が出会い、互いが互いを加速させていった結果、やがて事態は予想していなかった方向へと漂流してゆく。
