「ああ、ごめんリヒトくんちょっと驚いちゃって。僕自身に興味を持ってくれたなんてびっくりさ。……ところで君、ケモノならどんなのが好き？」

「け、けもの？　ま、待てクニヨシ距離が近いっ！ 才人たるべき振舞いを……あひゃああっ！？」 共に美術教室「イグアナの家」に通う、クニヨシとリヒト。 画才に溢れたクニヨシは、非才を認めるリヒトにとって尊敬と嫉妬の対象である。 しかしクニヨシはそんな葛藤もどこ吹く風で、リヒトに親し気に接したりするのだ。 ある時、同じ教室生徒のベンテンを含めた３人で、絵本製作の合宿に挑むことになった。 その日の夜、クニヨシは沸き上がる発想を抑えきれずテントでこっそりと絵を描いていた。 それに気付いたリヒトも加わり、いつしかひそひそ話が弾む。 狭い場所で、芸術家同士の情熱的な語らいに、リヒトは胸を高鳴らせる。 同じ美術教室に通うものたちの大事な、大事な思い出のワンシーン。 すれ違いもぶつかり合いもあれど、それこそが掛け替えのない何かを形どるのだろう。 老骨のクリエイター曰く、光と陰のあるところに芸術あり、である。
