In terms of character, the Kiou Police Academy's martial arts instructor-student duo seems at odds, but actually hold the same Role and Rule as those involved with Yin and Yang. They share common ground in dealing with the light and shadow of the world: Hogen commands Yin and Yang while Tajikarao handles the rock door that reveals or blocks the light of the heavens. They are allowed by the world to have the same Rule that questions how one should live; therefore, they have been given the Role of seeing how those lives end, and in many loops have met their ends together or in a similar fashion. Deeply involved in those ends is Kiou Police Academy's headmaster, who also happens to be the underground auctioneer who sold Macan. The Great Black One exemplifies the limits of Hogen and Tajikarao's Rule and Role by virtue of being composed of only darkness and indistinguishable from light."

The combination of the martial art coach and student from the "Kiou Police Academy" in Shinjuku.

While their personalities seem to be opposites, they both have a similar "Role" and "Rule" as "associating with Yin-Yang".

That is, they can separate shadow from the light of the world.

Hogen is "one who controls Yin-Yang", whereas Tajikarao is "one who dealt with the 'rocky cave that isolated the sun'".

Because they both are allowed by the world the "rules to survive", they are also given "roles to end"; they will face the same -- or at least similar -- ending in most "loops".

Furthermore, the one who is closely related to that ending is none other but the principal of the Kiou Police Academy, the dark auctioneer referred to as "The Great Darkness", who once sold Macan as a lot.

Because it consist of only shadows, its existence is the enunciation of limits encountered by the roles and rules of both Hogen and Tajikarao, because of failure to separate it from the light.

新宿区に存在する「鬼王警察学校」の武術師範とその教え子のコンビ。
性格は一見対照的であるように見えるが、実はこの２人、共に「陰陽に関わる者」としての同じ「役割」と「権能」を持つ。
それ即ち、世界の陰（かげ）と陽（ひかり）を区分け扱う者としての共通点である。
ホウゲンは「陰陽を司る者」として、タヂカラオは「太陽を区分ける岩戸を扱う者」として。
同じ「どのように生きるか」の「権能」を世界から許された故に、同じ「どのように終わるか」の末期を迎える「役割」を与えられ、多くの「繰り返し」において共に、あるいは似たような最期を迎える。
そして、その終焉に大きく関わるのは、鬼王警察学校の校長にして、かつてマガンを商品とした闇オークショニアの「大いなる黒」。
影のみが存在する故に、陽と区分けられぬ「ホウゲンとタヂカラオの役割と権能、その限界を体現する者」である。

man i love making fun of cops with my dad until we're laughing so hard we can't breathe. why do you wanna be a small town cop so bad, why so you can park next to each other and brush arms with another man in an awkward silence as you both ignore the dim romantic glow of the clear night skies and the flourescent street lamps? alone together in the back of an empty parking lot, cut off from the main road by a line of trees, as a chill wind picks up and you can feel his arm hairs raise and brush yours as they lift in tandem, breaths catching as you accidentally make eye contact? only for him to clear his throat and break his gaze and pull away to grab his steering wheel because it's time for him to start his patrol and leave you here, alone, wanting? and you wish him well in a quiet voice before clearing your own throat and grabbing your own steering wheel to go absolutely nowhere as you artificially deepen your own voice and tell him to go unnecessarily escalate a traffic violation just for you, and then stare longingly into your side mirror as he pulls away and slams on his lights to pull over the first person he sees for some arbitrary offense, just to forget how the stars and moon sparkled in your eyes? kinda gay, man.
