World Representatives are the 23 main players in The Game that are chosen by their world to win the Game and obtain The Trophy.
Overview
World Representatives represent one of the worlds connected to the city, with unique customs and ideas in tow. These players each wield extremely powerful Rules rooted in the belief systems of their individual worlds.[1]1 World Representatives hold the responsibility to protect their own World, making sure that it continues to thrive and continue on living. If they sense that a threat may endanger their world, many will look to take action against it, even if it deals with the Protagonist. Representatives are typically related to or connected to the world’s exile. While many Representatives played a direct hand in the exiling, some exiles banished themselves out of their own volition, usually done in response to the Representative’s actions.
Representatives are often but not always Pillar owners. Notable examples of Representatives without their own Pillars are Michael whose world denied him access to the Tree of Life and Temujin whose pillar is currently in the possession of Ulaanbaatar, who is hiding from him. Additionally, some Representative’s Pillars may be broken, such as Marduk whose stone tablet cannot retain memories after rebirth.
According to Bael and as seen in Canaan - The Promised Land, the position of World Representative can be transferred to another suitable individual.
Many Representatives are related to the Sun as the Sun is often the literal highest object in a w, and thus becomes the highest object in a world’s hierarchy.
Due to many worlds not holding the concept of outer space within their mythologies, many World Representatives hold a conceptual disadvantage against space attacks and invasions, as seen with Nodens’s alien invasion that was able to kill most of the Representatives with ease in Nightglows of the Starlit Sky. After that event, this weakness has been brought to the attention of the Game Masters and is now controlled to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Other World Representatives
World Representatives can lose their status by either being usurped by someone greater than them, passing it down to another who is capable of assuming the title, or being destroyed alongside their own world.
Reserve Representatives are those who are next in line for the title of World Representative in the event that the true Representative is unable or no longer able to act. Reserve Representatives still represent the world they are acting as a backup for, either through their power, belief, or as a proxy for the true Representative.

Notes
- According to Takeminakata's profile, Okuninushi ( Daikoku) used to be the Representative of Takamagahara, but lost his position after his exile at Amaterasu's hands.
- The rightful World Representative of Yggdrasil is Odin. However owing to "special circumstances", Surtr was assigned as the World Representative of Yggdrasil. In his home world, he was also the one handed the role of exiling Freyr.
- Shinya was a member of the Invaders before leaving of his own accord after finding out the truth about The Game.
- Shinya has been appointed the Reserve World Representative of Olympus. Because Zeus is absent and his Rule has been directed to flow into Shinya's body, Shinya is capable of using this Rule unrestricted.
- Perun claims to have prevented Zeus from directly joining The Game due to them sharing the same Role and Rule.
- In truth, the Prize System surrounding the Protagonist has been created by converting the System responsible for perpetuating the other world of Olympus; it's this System that possesses the same Role and Rule as Zeus.
- Perun states that those that are heirs of Cronos are all in the line of Olympus' Representatives.
- After the defeat of Wakan Tanka∞ at the end of Chapter 13, Bigfoot assumed the title and power of the Great Spirit World Representative.
- Nodens earned the title of the Old Ones Representative during the events of Nightglows of the Starlit Sky and has presumably lost his position after his defeat.[2]15
- Canaan Dagon was the Representative of Canaan, with Baal being chosen as his successor. However, the world was destroyed before Baal could fulfill his role. Bael would then attempt to recreate the World of Canaan to claim the title of World Representative for himself during the events of Canaan - The Promised Land; however, his attempts were foiled by the cast at the last moment.
- For the purposes of giving Zeus a portrait when he has no sprite, a silhouette of Perun has been used. Within the VN, Perun’s sprite has also been used to be a stand-in for Zeus.
- One of Curren's plans is to make Breke into a Reserve Representative by having him collect the Sacred Artifacts left behind by the forfeited Representatives, in case that the Protagonist ends up winning the Game.
