A guild of wild beasts and, most notably, those who tame them. Its public face is an organization that performs biological experiments on Transients.—Affiliation Description
The Beast Tamers, known in full as the Ueno Beast Tamers, is a guild located in Ueno, Taito Ward.
Their guild icon is a berserk spike-collared beast breaking out of its cage.
Their Guild Master is Yuma.
Overview
Ideology
The Beast Tamers' goal is to find a way to control others' powers,[1] namely their own as many members lacked a way to control themselves back in their home worlds.[2]14 In order to accomplish this, their members conduct experiments to research the nature of Transients, Transient biology, and their memories.[2]14[3]10 The researchers are heavily dedicated to their work, making sure to commit the data and results of their findings to memory. In an emergency, they can destroy and abandon their research if need be.[3]15 This makes the researchers a valuable commodity of information, so they take on bodyguards to protect them.[3]8
Due to their extensive research into Transient biology, they are highly knowledgeable about Transients, even more so than World Representatives in a certain way.[2]14
Members
All members of the Beast Tamers are Therians.[4] While the guild's research determines that Yuma is a human, Yuma believes that he was always meant to be born as a Therian. Because of this, he has been designated as a cryptid—an Unidentified Mysterious Animal.[5]
Leib is the guild's advisor.[4]
In addition to his research, Pazuzu acts as the guild's public negotiator between other parties.[6] Due to the nature of Hastur's abilities, he is both a valuable protector for the guild's experiment subjects and a security risk to the guild itself, so he alongside his tamer Pazuzu work separately from the rest.[7]
Affiliations
The Beast Tamers are no more than an extension of Ueno Academy and its research. As the experiments they do is considered to be important for modern society, researchers and test subjects are closely managed, restricted from conducting work with personal motives. Before they can do anything, they have to understand what their higher-ups want.[3]15 No info is allowed to leave the laboratory. Research heads are forbidden from leaking any info, even if they deem it safe.[3]8 However, during Chapter 8, Leib declares that the Beast Tamers will begin independent operations, prioritizing their own survival over any orders from Ueno Academy.[3]15
After the events of Chapter 8, the Beast Tamers and Outlaws have formed an alliance.[2]5
The Beast Tamers later joined the Great Guild Alliance alongside other guilds such as the Missionaries, Gurus, and Wanderers among others during Chapter 14 to help rescue the missing Guild Masters.[2]15
Beasts and Tamers
The guild members are given the temporary Roles of Beasts and Tamers in order to control their powers to an extent.[2]14 Its members are grouped up, one Beast and Tamer per pair. Beasts act as bodyguards who protect the researchers of the guild, the Tamers.
The Beast Tamer system is primarily a means of protecting its important researchers and the information they retain. Another purpose is to match possibly dangerous Transients with another who can rein them in.[3]8 Together, they work as a single unit that performs their duties and maintains good affinity with each other.[4]
Other parties can request the guild for a Tamer to help control a Transient they cannot handle by themselves.[8]1

Notes
- The true nature of Yuma's Sacred Artifact is unclear because of how majority belief within a body works. The inside of a body is considered a Battle Zone, so a Sacred Artifact that is part of or imbedded within their body can be used without the help of the App.[9]9 It's possible to alter how one's internal Sacred Artifact works simply by believing it works in another way.[10]11 Because of this, there are two explanations for Yuma's power: he is either a human who can turn into Therians with the help of his Sacred Artifact or naturally has the abilities of a shapeshifting Therian, helped by his strong conviction that he is a Therian. In the end, both explanations give the same result, but the Beast Tamers cannot determine which of the two is correct.
- The Protagonist is a member of the Beast Tamers during the events of Jurassic Summer Vacance.[8]1
