Translated from Japanese A Summon who appeared from the other world Wa no Kuni. Second year student of Shinjuku Academy. The young warrior expanded his views in this Tokyo where the strong gather, swearing upon his late family members that he will become a great samurai and succeed in life. Since he came from a world where battle was common, he possesses actual combat knowledge. When he was young he was raised by his mother as a girl, so he possesses an unusual familiarity with those who have crossdressed.

Official English "He heads to the school's kendo dojo after class to train harder and longer than anybody so that he can win the next competition. He doesn't train just within his kendo club, but with practitioners from other schools and of other styles from different worlds, too. He is a warrior at heart and sees the whole world as a battlefield. He has made many friends throughout Tokyo via the sword but has not yet found someone to love. However, as he finishes his daily training, a shadow appears in the solemn twilight filtering into the otherwise empty dojo, delivering a surprise that leaves this warrior lad's heart pounding."

Translated from Japanese Every day after school, his first stop is the kendo club. To win the championship at the next tournament, Moritaka trains harder and longer than anyone. Foremost in his mind is always the drive to polish his swordsmanship and become a samurai capable of responding to any attack, and there's no better way to do so than to cross swords with the best of the best, across schools and even dimensions. Although he has made new friends since coming to Tokyo thanks to this sword, romance had never crossed his mind. After the usual practice, as the dojo is dyed orange by the sunset, the person who had been waiting until he was alone launches a surprise attack his years of training could never have prepared him for. For the first time, a young samurai feels his heart aflutter.

• His full name is Inuzuka Shino Moritaka (犬塚信乃モリタカ).
• The peony birthmark on his hand marks Moritaka as one of Yatsufusa's spiritual heirs.
• Moritaka hold the hakkenshi orb of Filial Piety.
  • Being the soul of Filial Piety, Moritaka share many traits and look almost identical to his father Yatsufusa.
• Based on the character Shino Inuzuka, from the novel series Nanso Satomi Hakkenden, written from 1814-1842. Moritaka shares many of the original character's symbology and traits, such as the devotion to family, peony mark, and history with cross dressing. When defeated, he calls out to a person named Yoshiro, who was a pet dog in the original story.
• Yoshiro is both his pet dog and his sibling.
• Has an old-fashioned speaking style.
• The butt of a running gag in which he's fooled into performing dog tricks.
• Moritaka's Charge Skill in his New Year's skin variant talks about Mt. Fuji, two hawks, three eggplants. This makes reference to the old tales of Hatsuyume which is the first dream of the year (often on the night of January 1st, until the morning of the 2nd). It is considered to be incredible good luck to have a dream with these three elements. The numbers are in reference to the order they are supposed to appear (1. Fuji, 2. Hawk, 3. Eggplant) not necessarily a dream with two hawks, or three eggplants.
• Moritaka shares a loading screen with Kenta where the young boy is asking Moritaka about two brands of dog food, saying "Which one is tasty?" (どっちがおいしい?), further adding to the running joke of him being a dog.
