An earnest junior high student and diligent son who works part time in his parent's in-home sake shop, in the Katsushika shopping district. At school, he is a serious and somewhat old fashioned leader of the cheering squad. Nobuhara longs to become a powerful man, spends long hours in training from dusk til dawn, and looks to the protagonist as a senpai and goal to strive toward.

Though normally worn as an apron, the cloth around his waist is actually a battle flag and sacred treasure. When Nobuhara hoists the flag it flies proudly, covering the sky and overflowing his allies with morale which causes it to grow larger still. As it gets bigger its effectiveness rises, but it also becomes heavier.
