Arc is based off from Jeanne d'Arc, a heroine of France and a Roman Catholic Saint.
Her Sacred Artifact is most likely a reference to her execution on how she was chained and burned alive at the stake.
Arc's cross-dressing is also a reference to Jeanne d'Arc on how she preferred to wear male military clothing while she was imprisoned to prevent any attempts to rape her before her execution.
