As a bundle of protective desires gone too far she is liable to become overprotective of someone she wants to protect. This is also a part of her role where she will one day destroy herself. Ziz is built to be satisfied with the kindness to wrap up damaged objects and looking after people devotedly. When she looks after someone especially slovenly she shows a heavy kind of dependence.

Ziz comes from the same named creature in Jewish mythology which is a giant griffin-like bird whose wingspan could block out the sun.
Ziz, along with Behemoth and the Leviathan, comprise the three monsters that preside over the sky, land, and sea respectively in Jewish mythology.
Her meal related skills are a reference to how the bird Ziz is supposedly a delicacy.
