Though he is technically a stray summon, Marchosias fulfills the wish of his late summoner nonetheless. Whether there is something special about the boy, or if he is merely a son suffering the sins of his father, Marchosias does not know, but there are many out there who seek to hurt him. But the reason doesn't really matter: he stakes his honor as a knight on his vow to faithfully carry out sincere wishes, and so continues to protect his charge from all comers. What he remains unaware of is the child's knowledge regarding the truth of the incident that opened the world gates, inherited from his late father, and neither yet knows how tremendously this knowledge will affect Tokyo in the future.

Marchosias is a demon in the Ars Goetia of the Lesser Key of Solomon. He is titled as a Marquis of Hell and commands thirty legions.^[1]^[2]
- He is ranked 35th in the Ars Goetia.
- Marchosias in the book is depicted as a wolf with griffin wings and has a serpent's tail.
- He is known to give true answers to all questions and extremely loyal to the conjurer.
- In the Main Quest, he reveals that he was banished from Eden to Gehenna and has been hoping to one day return there.
  - This holds true to the source material as Marchosias was an angel under the Second Sphere of angels, specifically the Dominations (or Dominions) in Christian Angelology.
    - The Dominations were depicted to have floating orbs of lights affixed on their heads which is referenced in-game with Marchosias having several floating machines around him, though this could also be a reference to the Thrones, which are angels in the First Sphere that are depicted to be fiery rings or wheels that are covered in eyes.

His charge skill references the Seventh Throne which refers to the Seventh Heaven in Judaism called Araboth where the throne of God is located, where Marchosias hopes to return to after 1200 years, though he may have been deluded in that hope.
Marchosias shares a loading screen with Taromaiti, and the small child he protects. The three of them are comparing muscles, and Taromaiti says "Someday, me too." (いつかボクも), referring to Marchosias' muscled arm.
