A teacher of Shinjuku Academy where the protagonist and friends attend. He's always competing with his coworker Jinn in what ways they love their students and their appropriateness as teachers. In contrast to Jinn's lively nature and hands off approach, Triton prizes order and has a serious personality. As part of the species known as mermen, underwater activity is his forte, so he coaches the swimming and water polo teams at school. He likes moist locations, so he normally lives in the Shinjuku Academy's dorm manager's bath unit. He holds great respect for his fellow teacher Mononobe-sensei.

Triton seems to be based partially on the son of Poseidon, Triton, which was his herald. He, like his father, used a trident, but his specialty was a conch, which he used to raise or lower the waves.
His conch whistle Sacred Artifact is the Conch's Call and has the power to blast others away.
Triton appears in the event of GoGo! Remote Island Expedition.
During the GoGo! Remote Island Expedition quest, it is revealed that the main antagonist is the Shadow of Triton, a "discarded" part of himself, from long ago. Their shared original form was Dagon, a figure in Mesopotamian mythology which you can find here.
- Besides both being mermen, Triton and Dagon have pretty different lore.
Triton shows in a loading screen, Together with Zao and Chernobog. It looks to be located after the events of the quest Black Snow on the Mountain Hot Springs, since Zao is, pretty much starry-eyed, introducing him as a "New　member to the club." (新人部員です) to an skeptic Triton.
