Official English "A Transient originally born in the world of Eden, but cast down to Gehenna, Ziz is known as the great bird of the sky. She watches over all creatures of the earth, sea, and sky with kindness and compassion. If to the east there is a child wandering lost, she will wipe away their tears and lead them home; if to the west there is a child weak from hunger, she will feed them from her own larder and nourish them with love. She is maternal instinct taken to the extreme, and her affection can often cross the line into overprotectiveness, a tendency instilled by her Role so that one day it will be her undoing, bringing an end to the last of the three great beasts. By design, she finds fulfillment in accepting others unconditionally, devotedly attending to their every want and need, and feels compelled to take care of those who struggle to take care of themselves."

Translated from Japanese Transient born in the other world of Eden and cast down to Gehenna. Great bird of the heavens. She kindly watches over everything that lives in the lands, seas, and skies. If a lost child turns up, she soothes, encourages, and guides them. If a hungry child appears, she will treat them to handmade cooking and affectionate words. As a bundle of protective desires gone too far she is liable to become overprotective of someone she wants to protect. This is also a part of her role where she will one day destroy herself. Ziz is built to be satisfied with the kindness to wrap up damaged objects and looking after people devotedly. When she looks after someone especially slovenly she shows a heavy kind of dependence.

Official Japanese 異世界エデンに生まれ、ゲヘナへと落とされた「転光生」。大空の巨鳥。大地に、海に、そして空に生きるもの、それら全てを優しく見守っている。あちらで迷子が居ればなだめ、励まし、導く。こちらに腹を空かせた子がいれば、手料理と優しい言葉を振る舞う。行き過ぎた庇護欲の塊で、守るべき相手に対して過保護になりがち。それはやがて自らを滅ぼすための「役割」でもある。欠けたものごと包み込む優しさで、献身的に世話をすることで本人は満たされるように造られている。自分の身の回りの世話が非常にだらしない相手を世話することに、強烈な依存を示す。

Official English "In pursuit of teaching, Ziz spends each and every day buried in study. However, she eventually comes face to face with her lack of work experience, sparking a deep anxiety within her. What if her experience and knowledge prove insufficient to guide the students in her charge? Once this fear enters her mind, she elects to challenge herself with a short-term, part-time job, fully sanctioned by her mentors. The event she's hired to assist with is a festival associated with a certain belief system that had once cast her into the depths of Gehenna. At this festival, she slowly discovers a new sense of meaning and purpose, guided by the new bonds she forges along the way. Perhaps this is the perfect path for one who's long served as sacrifice for the happiness and well-being of others. Either way, her heart skips a beat at this exciting new prospect, and she finds herself more enthusiastic than ever to meet students from other schools and receive the imparted wisdom of her elders."

Translated from Japanese Ziz spends her days devoting herself to her studies as she aims to be a teacher. But at once point she was faced with her inexperience with society, then felt anxious about her present state. What if her lack of knowledge and experience prevents her from guiding and teaching the students she ought to protect. When that occurred to her, she has started challenging herself at a part time job with her respected teachers' permission. That event is a festival influenced by a certain faith that cast her down to Gehenna. Through that Ziz will find new meaning for herself through the guidance of her new bonds. Perhaps it is because she was to be sacrificed for the happiness of others that she can draw this road out for herslf. Ziz is always in high spirits to gain new experiences to make her heart dance and to gain new knowledge from meeting people from other schools as well as lessons from leaders.

• Her meal related skills are a reference to how the bird Ziz is supposedly a delicacy.
• Christmas Ziz's CS subtitle comes from an expression that means devoting yourself to your studies. The expression itself refers to the story of Gao Feng, a farmer in the later Han dynasty China who was so absorbed in his reading that the rain washed his grain away.
