Personality
A genius inventor and Mechanic, Kurogane is a college student and the Guild Leader for the Kamata Crafters. He holds a very high enthusiasm for innovation and invention. As such, he's specialized in the creation and alteration of Sacred Artifacts, working alongside his fellow Crafters to enhance the strengths and abilities of Sacred Artifacts for guilds across Tokyo. He takes immense pride in his work, and loves to show off his abilities to anyone who needs his services. He enjoys affection and helping others out, though resents it when the older members of his guild treat him like a child. His ambition is to one day create a serviceable spacecraft, and works often with Oz to further this goal.
Kurogane is introduced alongside Amatsumara and Musashi into the Main Quest prior to Arc and the Protagonist going to Kamata in order to get more information regarding their Sacred Artifacts. Amatsumara informs Kurogane of the expected visit, but Kurogane opts out from the meeting as Oz shows up to assist in working on their space exploration program. Later on during Hombretigre's assault on Kamata, he and Oz are working on a launch of a rocket, only for it to explode on the launchpad. It's quickly revealed this rocket is only a bottle rocket, but Kurogane assures Oz that this failure will help them innovate to a bigger and better project.
Soon, however, the two notice an explosion from the guild house alongside colored smoke. Oz remarks that this is a beautiful rainbow, but Kurogane recognizes it as an attack. The two arrive alongside The Protagonist and Hephaestus, only to be subdued by Hombretigre. They witness the revelation that Hombretigre's heart houses a shard of Tezcatlipoca, and are saved in time by Breke returning to Kamata in the guise of Azathoth.

His surname, 鍛屋, is a contraction of 鍛冶屋, meaning "blacksmith".
Kurogane's Sacred Artifact, a prosthetic arm, maybe possibly based on the silver arm the Irish mythological figure Nuada had after having one of his arms lost in battle. Nuada was the first king of Tuatha Dé Danann, a supernatural race in Irish mythology that represent various gods/deities. He was eventually killed by Balor in a battle, with Balor being defeated in the same battle by his grandson Lugh becoming the new king of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
His Charge Skill line Eisernen Glied means "iron limb" in German.
Kurogane's summoner mark is located on the back of his left hand, with the appearance of three interlocked gears surrounded by electricity.
