This allows him to convert the length of his sword from 6.5 inches to 6.5 feet and back. He can even jump into close range with an opponent as if he had warped through dimensions. On top of that, his knowledge in tactics allows him to create formations that make it difficult for enemies to attack while allies have the advantage. Usage of that power can change his blade length from about 27cm to about 1.95m, making it possible for it to seem as though it just jumps right into his enemy's chest. He is based on Kiichi Hogen, a legendary Japanese warrior monk who is sometimes said to be a tengu of Mount Kurama.
- Kiichi Hogen served as the mentor of Minamoto no Yoshitsune - which is why he refers to Protagonist as "my lord".
His second Research File alludes to his weakness to "women who have lost their beloved" is likely a reference to Kiichi Hogen's daughter Minatsuruhime, who was in love with Yoshitsune but later betrayed by him.
