The rope was said to be used by a water God when pulling landmasses, giving it a Rule that enables him to drag any manner of thing and prevents those caught in this rope from escaping. He uses this ability to force opponents into sumo matches. He hates people who quit while they're ahead in a fight and he also desperately hates being abandoned. He has a tendency to drag his past behind him and is extremely vulnerable when people point it out. He often hides in the mountains but returns right away when he gets lonely."
The sacred treasure Ashigara holds can become a circular ring, and even if placed in the middle of enemy territory, will become an unbreakable arena. Furthermore, this rope has the power to pull in anything, and those caught in it become unable to escape. Ashigara uses this to his advantage to challenge people to sumo matches. His dislikes are people who quit while they're ahead. His greatest dislike is being left behind. There's actually a side to him that lingers on the past, and he is surprisingly sensitive about it. He will retreat to the mountains if questioned about it, but will quickly leave due to the loneliness.
