He dotes on his only brother who certainly has descended from the same blood and genetics as him. His brother however thinks of him as a huge annoyance and that makes him sad. Since he knows of the past and darkness onwards of the time Transients appeared in Tokyo, he trusts nothing outside of the ties of blood.

His full name is Shuichi Togo.
Shuichi's Role is Recorder and his Rule is Collection.
His Sacred Artifact is a clay tablet that can store vast amounts of information. It is a reference to the Library of Ashurbanipal that contains thousands of clay tablets and fragments that contain texts of all kinds from the 7th century BC, like the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Enūma Eliš.
- The Sacred Artifact itself is most likely based on the Tablet of Destinies which belonged to Enlil, Sumerian God of Wind and Storm, an artifact that will always return to him no matter how many time its ownership has changed. In one of the myths, the tablet was stolen from Enlil by Abzu the divine bird who is also roughly an equivalent to Ziz of Jewish mythology until it was reclaimed by Enlil's son Ninurta.
- His charge skill "Record of Nineveh" references ancient Nineveh, the place where the library is located in the Assyrian Empire; the site now is in modern-day northern Iraq, near the city of Mosul.
- Marduk has a small similar-looking tablet tied around his neck.
Shuichi's summoner mark is located on his chest and has the appearance of a rectangle with three arrows pointing towards the inside of it.
