Even feelings they might have for their own flesh and blood, whoever they may be for, only have one outlet which is combat. Yet, it is precisely these similarities, these connections they share, that make them both oddly concerned about helping with the other's affairs. Take, for example, Tezcatlipoca seeking to help Balor contemplate his own Role with the assistance of a fellow Tir na Nog Transient. To lecture the towering hulk in his normal form would earn Tezcatlipoca the man's annoyance and a perturbed smack, but as an adorable little furball? That's a different story. Looking at his cute little ally, however, Balor cannot help but imagine that were he that fluffy and small, his grandson would surely love him."

この東京で同じターゲットを狙っているにもかかわらず、同盟者となったテスカトリポカとバロール。
共に、戦煙の中に生まれ、戦場に生き、そして世界の王は１度にただ１人であると知っている。
「血と肉を分けたどこかの誰か」に対してどのような思いを抱いていたとしても、戦う以外にそれを表す術を知らなかった。
そんな似た過去を持つ者同士、２人は互いに対して余計なお節介を焼いてしまうようだ。
同じティルナノグ出身の「転光生」を通じて、バロールに自身の役割について考えさせようとしたテスカトリポカ。
テスカトリポカが本当の姿であれば、余計なお世話の腹いせに、バロールもその体を一発小突くくらいのことはしただろう。
しかし、小憎たらしい戦友の姿は愛くるしい程にモフモフで。
こんな姿ならば孫にもきっと愛されるだろうかと、バロールは考えてしまうのだった。
