Part of a large fishing family consisting of himself, his father and several younger brothers in Ota Ward, and a member of the swimming club at school. Eita deeply admires his father as the model man of the sea, and aspires to follow in his footsteps to become a great fisherman. Since his father has to be away at sea for long periods of time, Eita, the eldest, has assumed the role of man of the house and looks after his brothers.

As a child, Eita's father often boasted that he had a lover in every port the world over (before meeting Mom). In his zeal to emulate dad, Eita grew up to become a shameless flirt, and he yearns to have someone himself. He is, however, still inexperienced when it comes to romance and strikes out every time. In battle, he wields a harpoon with a sea god's power, strong enough to rend the ocean itself. He shares a certain commiserative affinity for another man who seeks love in vain.

A junior high school student of a fisherman's family, who was engulfed by the distorted seas of the Tokyo Bay. Before Tokyo was locked down, he aspired to be like his dad, a tough man who has crossed oceans all over the world, and dreams of becoming a man of the sea. He was a boy who wants to be reliant like his father, wanting to look cool, and always had striking poses. Now, as he departs for the grand ocean for the first time to fulfill his greatest wish, his heart is pounding with excitement. Born of the sea and loved by the sea, he is good at looking out for storms. He holds great respect for those who bear the title of "Captain".

Makara declines the invitation, promising that if anything happens, he'll come running. Be it boy or girl, young or old, almost everyone strikes up a conversation with Makara. The student who invite him to go swimming, Even a young girl, blushing brighter than a tomato, invited him on a date. Makara stoops down to get to eye level with Eita.
