As the man continues on his long wandering journey he holds in his hand a cane topped with the likeness of a black jackal. That is a Sacred Artifact that is supposed to be proof of one's Role and Rule as ruler of the underworld. He likes tastes that make him feel alive, and he finds sympathy for those who know the joys of being drunk. There are two personalities different as night and day within this one body, each with their own names and actions. He seems to get on well with people who are dealing with having someone in their body who wasn't there originally.

After his resurrection, an entity was placed inside him: Nekros. This was to make him the possessor of the Rule of Decay and supreme ruler of all Demon Kings who have overcome death. The blood of Kvasir, Patron of Liquor, runs through Bacchus's veins, and he has taken to these powers like a fish to water. He understands the gravity of his responsibilities as one who governs intoxication, and even enjoys them. His corpse was then brought back to life by the virtual personality using it as a vessel, Nekros. He is accompanied by overlords who have conquered death and is the one chosen to receive the Rule of degeneration. Bacchus's body carries the blood of ones born to rule over alcohol the Kvasir, so he is compatible with this power. He has favorable views towards those who control intoxication and those who understand the weight of their duties. He also holds a mix of pity and self-loathing towards those established as overlords by the world and forced into long lasting solitude.

Notes

Nekros is based on ancient Greek word "νεκρός", which means "dead body". The word is more known as the compound for the word "necromancy", a term related to practicing magic involving manipulation of the dead.
Bacchus is based on Roman god of wine and festivity of the same name.
Their Sacred Artifact, the cane with a black jackal head, is a reference to Anubis, the Egyptian God of the Underworld.
Bacchus' CS line uses the word ジゴバインド (Jigo-Bind), where ジゴ (jigo) is interpreted here to be an abbreviation of 地獄 (jigoku), which means hell. It could also be an intentional misspelling of the prefix giga, referencing a Dragon Quest spell which in turn referenced the Japanese dub of Back to the Future, in which gigawatts was similarly pronounced incorrectly as it was in English. In the Kumamoto dialect, ジゴ also refers to the butt or anus.
