Asset Ripping Guide
What you need
- The android version of Housamo installed (preferably emulator)
- Asset Studio
Where is everything?
- Very few assets from Housamo are located in the .apk file itself.
- Many GUI assets are in root/Android/obb/jp.co.lifewonders.housamo/main. These assets are from app store updates.
- Most assets (and all new ones) are located in root/Android/data/jp.co.lifewonders.housamo/files/UnityCache/Shared. This should be your first place to look for any non-GUI assets.
Now what?
- Load the asset you want to rip. This is usually done by having the image appear onscreen or audio playing.
- Go to your favorite Android file manager and find the folder the asset(s) is/are stored in.
- Save the __data file(s) to your PC and open Asset Studio.
- If you have a single __data file to process: File > Load file. Choose the __data file.
- If you have multiple __data files to process: File > Load Folder. Choose the folder with your __data files.
- Click Asset List and select your asset(s). Save Texture2D files for images, not Sprite objects.
- Congrats, you have the assets you were looking for!
