Overview

Marduk

Marduk and his dragon Mushussu are a prime example of a solid unit that can fit into any team composition, and they can impressively do this with just two skills. His Default allows him to do respectable damage and to fully exploit his potent LB1, which can Skill LockCannot activate skills for 5 turns. (Debuff) enemies in a massive area provided nothing stands in front of him. Then his LB2 provides good team support with a bit of healing and softening enemy attacks, while also charging his CS so he may renew his barrage even past the early phase. His LB3 should be considered a bonus, but unlike older skills utilizing this activation timing, Marduk's matches the price of losing such a valuable unit, likely to ensure his team can prevail. In general, a well-rounded unit that provides some of everything a team may need.

Highlights

Marduk

Class: Mixed Support, Glass Cannon

Gameplay Role: Debuffer, Damage Dealer

Pros

+ Long range and solid proc rates ensures he can always reliably activate his skills.

+ Good damage even at snipe range, only a single external buff can allow him to deal lethal hits.

+ Provides an excellent mix of offensive and defensive team support with a bit of healing added in.

+ Will severely punish enemies should he fall, allowing his team to avenge him.

+ CS allows him to shrug off any debuffs as well as renew his barrage past the early phase.

Cons

- A sort of jack of all trades, does not excel at any particular field.

- Can fall off some after ComboATK Down by 0.6x (excepting charge attacks), attack twice each turn for 2 turns (Buff) expires, needing his CS to renew or or an external source such as Wakan Tanka.

- His LB1 is reliant on enemy positioning, wherein he will not always be able to get a clear empty shot even with Combo.
