☆3/☆4 Tadatomo
Tadatomo's boon lies in being able to potentially trivialize KO thanks to constant Guts just by attacking, his kit encourages getting hit to get Rage going and its drawbacks are mostly patched up by Tenacity and later on Evasion on LB3, which by itself dramatically increases his survivability if it procs. His Charge is a moderate heal that serves mostly to help his durability a bit, which also applies to his party. Remember his 3☆ version is Slash and 4☆ is Mage, both function slightly different because of that in terms of damage, not to mention 4☆ has considerably more chance to proc his Default. Sadly, LB3, while amazing, has a mediocre proc rate and is mostly a bonus, and he will crave for some more-standard offensive/defensive buffs depending on how you wish to exploit his skills.
☆4 Valentine Tadatomo
Tadatomo (Valentine) is similar to his original version, but exponentially better in execution. Having both LB1's Berserk buff and Default's increased damage to enemies under Bind and him applying Bind on the go is amazing, it easily buffs his damage to ludicrous levels, LB3 serves as an insurance in case he's hit too hard which he'll really need because of Berserk's negatives and having no way to reduce incoming damage compared to the original. LB2 is mostly a bonus and shouldn’t be put to much use since it’s heavily discouraged for him to be hit. His Charge is fantastic, it’s basically LB3 for your party, being both a heal and Guts for everyone can possibly turn around a losing battle to your favor, with its damage being potentially good thanks to Berserk. Him being Dark compared to Fire is a great improvement and solidifies his damage across levels.

☆3/☆4 Tadatomo
Class: Bruiser
Gameplay role:
Pros
+ Potentially constant Guts just by attacking, with a considerable self-heal as well to keep him safe from KO.
+ LB1 Rage bolsters his otherwise standard damage.
+ Traditional Tenacity on demand through LB2, which helps patching up Rage downsides and keep him either durable, or back to standard durability.
+ Charge provides both nice damage (if under Rage) and a considerable heal thanks to its attack range.
Cons
- Without Guts, his survivability can be worse, 4☆ has more chances to proc it, making 3☆ a bit more of a gamble.
- Under Rage, and without either LB2 and/or LB3, he’ll barely last after a hit or two.
- LB3 has a low-ish rate despite its effects, what with being obliged to move for Tenacity if he wants to live without over-relying on Default Guts.
☆4 Valentine Tadatomo
Class: Glass Cannon, Offensive Support
Gameplay role:
Pros
+ Default Bind and increased damage to enemies with it speaks by itself as an amazing anti-skillcast and damage reduction ailment, with him abusing it damage-wise along with LB1 Berserk.
+ LB3 is fantastic as a repeated KO insurance to even the odds to his favor.
+ Charge boasts of considerable damage and fantastic effects, which can potentially turn the tables of a losing battle.
Cons
- Having no way to reduce damage taken past Bind, his durability is terrible due to Berserk negative effects.
- LB2 is mostly a bonus since it’s heavily discouraged for him to be hit, especially since he may usually be in the backlines.
- Craves for LB3 to proc if he wants insurance from hard hits, which he’ll usually end up taking due to the aforementioned Berserk negative effects.
