Overview: Taking aside Default situationality, Shinya's LB1 is a nice passive stun that can lock enemies down for allies or simply prevent them from acting, LB2 is a moderately good passive heal, and LB3 is Shinya’s cornerstone, Insight increasing proc rates simply by moving around is excellent, making room for some good synergies, especially for allies that need a boost in proc rates. His Charge is LB1 with a guaranteed stun rate instead, it’s a great setup if you get a clean shot. Still, Shinya’s selling point lies mostly in LB3, the rest of his skills are complementary and with ironic low-ish proc rates (mainly LB1), he appreciates a party that can help him deal damage, since both his element and range are good for offense.

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ LB1 adds a nice stun just by attacking things, which can easily mark targets to focus on now or later.

+ LB2 Blessing adds a moderate passive heal at a nice effect range.

+ LB3 is fantastic to boost his allies’ proc rates, which can make for curious interactions.

+ Charge is fantastic as a guaranteed LB1 effect, with its effect being non-scaling and able to shut down priority targets momentarily.

Cons

- Default is heavily situational, if usually useless.

- Ironically, LB1 has a low proc rate, with LB2 following a bit close.

- His LB3 doesn’t apply to himself, which would have worked wonders to help his other skills.
