Kyuma works a little different from general 0.45x ATK penaltyShot characters, he needs to get hit to have part of his power available, and boosts own CP and near allies by a nice amount as well. His selling point however is the fact that, besides having Critical, he ignores Evasion, the most broken defensive buff there is, something that's very rare to find in a character, the latter is deemed situational, but shines very well in these situations. His only real downside is his need to get hit to get part of his damage going, he welcomes the likes of Insight and defensive buffs or ailments to be considerably better.

Gameplay role:

Pros

+ Potentially great damage output through LB1 Herculean Strength and LB3 Critical, with the added boon of ignoring Evasion in the process, a very rare trait across characters.

+ LB2, while Encouragement may be short-lived, has great effective range and grants moderate amounts of CP.

Cons

- Requires getting hit if you want his damage to be top-notch.

- LB2 has a fairly low proc rate, it doesn’t help it’s a short-lived buff.
