Overview

With Obstruction, Gyobu brings a new ailment to the table, you may think it’s his main feature, but it’s more of a bonus given it can be anywhere from fairly powerful to somewhat useless with it decreasing proc rates by a (presumably) flat 15%. Still, his other skills are nice, enjoying bolstered damage from LB1 while erasing Bind off himself, the ever-present LB2 Tenacity to maintain durability and a key difference in LB3 between 3☆ and 4☆. For 3☆, a fantastic effect range Regen somewhat on demand and a buff-eating ailment just by attacking from 4☆ which is far more disruptive than it sounds. From this it can be debated which version works best for people, given both end up inclining towards one or another side between healing or supporting.

Class: Healer, Bruiser

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Default Obstruction is a flat proc rate reduction ailment, its effects may sound arbitrary, but enemies usually have moderately low proc rates, this serves as a great reduction towards them in general.

+ His no-Bind policy is far stronger than it sounds thanks to shutting down the most crippling ailment in the game as well as bolstering his damage through LB1 Fighting Spirit.

+ Traditional damage reduction by moving thanks to LB2 Tenacity to self.

+ LB3 plays a key difference in his roles, 3☆ benefits from an amazing Regeneration in a standard effect range, while 4☆ acts as a buff-denier, similar to Purge, except it’s a debuff that eats the next buff once applied.

Cons

- One can argue Obstruction is essentially useless against higher proc rates or just altogether.

- Charge is only noteworthy for possible damage, its effects are mediocre at best.
