Amatsumara is a peculiar Strike unit that can easily steroid his own damage to absurd levels, especially given his attack range, you can easily oneshot anything one enemy at a time, this makes him excel more in smaller maps, where he has more chances to put his lacking range to work. His LB1 Concentration on demand is fantastic, it heavily bolsters the rest of his kit as well as his own damage, which paired with LB2 proves to be heavy. What’s special about LB3 is the fact that Herculean Strength is usually a buff for self, not for others, the fact he can apply it to anyone behind him makes for some interesting interactions where it stacks with more-common buffs for greater damage. His Charge, if it’s 4☆, is great, it will shove away everything and prevent it from moving, allowing you to set up accordingly and beat them down. The bad part about him lies mostly in the fact that all of his amazing things are hugely gated by Strike, arguably a tricky and bad range to work with, he needs to actively be hitting something to make his kit work, and if he can’t do even that, he’s doing nothing.

Class: Glass Cannon, Offensive Support
Gameplay role:
Pros
+ LB1 Concentration just by moving, contrary to other less-frequent proc methods, with a guaranteed proc rate to boot.
+ Massive push to whatever he hits, you can shoo away pesky targets and deal with them later.
+ LB2 Critical on hit, paired with LB1, he’s bound to hit very very hard.
+ LB3 Herculean Strength is a rather rare case of a buff that is usually for self, making its rarity as a buff for allies worth mentioning in order to stack it with other more-common buffs.
Cons
- His biggest flaw is being purely Strike, a range that both hugely exposes him and is very lacking in range in exchange of raw damage.
- Sometimes you do want to defeat your target instead of shoving it away, it can prove cockblocking to him.
- Alternatively, to his dis/advantage, the shove won’t work if there’s already someone behind the target.
- Essentially, only 4☆ works best, 3☆’s vastly inferior Charge range and possible damage output puts it behind 4☆, given it’s mostly used as a setup thanks to Intimidated nullifying movement momentarily.
